We stopped on the off chance for Sunday lunch. The lovely moved things around for us which allowed us plenty of time for lunch before the table became reserved. The lunch was fabulous. The quantity of good quality food was amazing. All hot and fresh.There was so much we took the equivalent to another lunch home with us. I love the fact that they are dog friendly and do a doggie Sunday lunch. We will definitely return. Lovely staff, Great food, fab atmosphere! Such a friendly and warm atmosphere. The service was impeccable and the roast very yummy. An impromptu visit to this beautiful little find saw us luck enough to get a table for Sunday Lunch and we were not dissapointed. The were wonderful, welcoming our (very vocal) non-verbal 13 year old and assuring us wonderfully that her "happy noises" were also welcome! The food was delicious. Massive portions of very well cooked food with what was very obviously fresh, seasonal veggies. Extremely well priced too. Massive personal thank yous to our waiting Isobel and George. Kind, attentive and beautifully mannered. As were all of the staff. Will certainly be coming back! One of our favourite finds so far! The Boars Head in Aust is in an amazing location and is a beautiful, traditional pub with a really comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts and are always so friendly and attentive, you’re made to feel right at home every time you visit. The food is excellent quality, very reasonably priced, and the portions are huge! They also have a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and the desserts are absolutely stunning, definitely worth leaving some room for! The beer garden is fantastic, there’s a lovely patio area with heaters and a big grassy space with benches, a bouncy castle for the kids, and even some chickens! It’s the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon. Highly recommend a visit! Brilliant pub. Kudos all round. Owners are so welcoming and friendly, puts their customers first. Free camping in the beer garden - second time here camping and can't recommend it enough. Spuds are smashing, and the cheesy chips are epic. Just go here! Called here before hand to see if a group of us in campers could stop the night on route to a show, booked a table for us over the phone, arrived at 7.30pm, food arrived fast and was delicious! Good beer, good food, great stop off for us, will be staying here again for sure! Hanna greeted us as we arrived on the camping field, she was very attentive and bent over backwards to make sure all of us were watered and fed, even have treats to the doggies!! All the in in the night were fab!! 5/6/25 Walked from the Bristol Severn view travelodge looking for somewhere to have a good meal after a long day travelling. Could not have been happier with the Boars Head. Welcomed at the door with energetic delight, and with that, the tone and atmosphere were set. The bar is old and very comfortable. The food was plentiful and delicious. A lovely beer garden with open space for children to play helps add to the family-friendly environment. Anytime we are travelling through this area, we will be going back. Thanks guy's, for the perfect end to a great holiday Just celebrated my mother's 80th birthday at the Boar's head. The pub setting is gorgeous and all the are very welcoming and very helpful, such a warm welcome. The food is delicious, good sized portions and nothing is too much trouble, even brought a tear to my mum's eye when ALL the brought her cake in and sang "Happy Birthday". Can't recommend this place enough will definitely be back ...
