We were here in the middle of June and it was not crowded at all. We got one carriage to ourselves (2 people) and there is no line at the ticket office either. However, I would imagine in the peak season it will be much more crowded as they have a special line for pre-booked and VIP. Overall the experience was very pleasant, the carriage was clean and the glasses around were very clear so it was easy to take good pictures. On the way up you get the best view of Kotor Bay for sure! I will suggest that you take pictures on the way up, as you get the best view with no obstruction that way. On top they have cafes, a souvenir shop, and another attraction resembling a roller coaster, only you sit one by one in a small go-kart-like seat. I didn't take it as I hate roller coasters but the who do it seem quite enjoying themselves. You can also climb up to the viewpoint but in my opinion, you get a better view on your way up as it is unobstructed. Be aware that the path is steep and rocky, keep this in mind if you have footwear that is not made for this terrain. There were not too many when we were there, but when they are crowded it might be difficult to go up and down meeting on the way. The view platform itself is small - it can probably fit 3 max, and there is one bench where you can sit on top. Keep this in mind if you are there in peak season. Comfortable and Scenic to the Top This takes you to the top of the mountain in under 15 minutes, and it’s an amazing experience from start to finish. The cabin is very comfortable, with a gentle breeze inside that keeps it cool, even on a warm day. There’s also light background music, which adds a nice touch and makes the feel even more relaxing. As someone who’s usually afraid of heights, I was surprised by how calm and easy the felt. It was smooth, steady, and gave me the chance to actually enjoy the without feeling nervous. If you’re in the area, this is definitely worth doing it’s a way to take in the scenery and reach the top. Bring warmer clothes as it is a lot colder in the mountains I’ve got my (you don’t need to book a specific time - are valid for the day) €23 cable car round trip and €14 extra for the roller (with fast track). Parking is €1 per hour and most parked outside to avoid charges. It gets busy at sunset, think ahead when it’s best to go to the roller coaster. Plenty of food and drinks options at the top. We booked on the day, online. There is a priority queue for those with tickets. The whole place still looks really new, and they are obviously still developing the attraction, especially at the top station. We drove - there is a massive car park (sadly Google maps takes you the wrong way. Go down to the roundabout and then up the hill. Signposts aren’t though). The cars seat 10, but we got a car to ourselves in both directions. The cars slow almost to a stop, but there is obviously some manual control possible as they stopped the car for someone on crutches to get on. The journey is 11 minutes. Be prepared for a bit of a jettison from both the lower and upper station. The settles quickly. I’m not a fan of cable cars, and this one does swing very slightly, but felt very safe. The mechanics look to be quality. We had a drink at the bar at the top. We also went up to the top viewpoint which was a bit of a scramble over the rocks. The on the way up and down are spectacular. Really worth it even just for the alone... breathtaking!! Really smooth too and only takes 10 mins. Shops, restaurant and mountain roller at the top too with some jaw dropping backdrops! Highly recommend you buy your ticket so you can join the fast track queue! I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Kotor Cable Car, and it was absolutely breathtaking! The panoramic of the Bay of Kotor and the surrounding mountains are simply unparalleled. The is smooth, and the scenery unfolds spectacularly as you ascend, offering stunning photo opportunities at every turn. One tip I'd highly recommend: check their official website and purchase your in advance. Not only can you snag a discount, but can sell out quickly, especially during peak seasons. This simple step ensures a hassle-free experience without the worry of missing out. If you’re planning a trip to Kotor, the cable car is an absolute must-do. It’s an unforgettable way to appreciate the natural beauty of the region from a unique perspective. The cable car climbs to a very high altitude, and the view from the top is fantastic, especially of Kotor. It gets very hot during the day, so visiting after 6:00 PM is best, especially in August. Watching the sunset from the top is a real treat. We also rode the Alpine Coaster, which was very enjoyable and offered views. There are many nice cafes and viewpoints at the top, making it a activity center. I recommend purchasing your to avoid waiting in line. experience! The are truly and the service is really helpful. We also had the chance to the alpine coaster. For only 8 euros more, you can skip hours of queues and the quicker. That way you won't waste most of your day waiting to a coaster! The park for children is also great. There are a lot of trampolines and slides, entertaining them. Although the Kotor Cable Car is high of the ground and the heights may scare at first sight, the are worth seeing. The Cable Car is big and can hold up to 8 people.
