Ozzell Bowl

St. Austell, United Kingdom Bowling alley

Lovely little alley, always busy and always good fun. There is a small children’s soft play area, selection of arcade machines, bar and choice of fast food. I’ve been three times I think now, never seen any lanes break down or upset people or queues for anything. (Even though I’ve only ever seen one person working lol, literally one person doing everything. it’s like some kind of magic.) It’s always clean, though does look a bit aged. I think it’s been here for a long while. This doesn’t make it any less fun though, so we will be back come summer time. Very dated interior, but in the same breath, quite quaint. Perfect for what it is and nothing really to complain about. £60 for our family of 4 to play two games each. Somewhere nice to take our small people whilst it's raining. Our 10 year wants us to add - "5 stars great experience". Good place for bowling, great atmosphere but service at bar counter could be better We really enjoyed our trip to Ozzell Bowl on Thursday, the was a lot of fun and reasonably priced (£7.95 per person and £6.95 for more rounds thereafter). The pool table was good too, we had a few games and then played on the boxing machine. All in all, a great place to visit on an evening! The manager was pleasant, and the bar man was really friendly. I also think £4.65 for a pint of Carlsberg is great value - especially these days! Would recommend paying them a visit. Very helpful staff. They kindly let me use their facilities when the local public toilets took my money and failed to let me in. Very kind. Ozzel Bowl was amazing fun for me and the family. The was amazing. The only problem I had was the manager at the front desk, He was rude from the start. He made a typo in my cousin’s name and he didn’t like that. We went back over to him and he said ‘oh get on with it.’ Later on when the pool table refused to give us the balls after inserting a pound, He said ‘oh forget it.’ and gave us a 50p ‘for the trouble.’ Do not use the arcade games. The claws are rigged. Honestly not the first time of unhappy miserable staff here. We came in with 3 children today the arcades for 1 hour before they closed and buy some drinks would have probably spent about £30 but to be told we are not welcome as you have to be to be able to use the arcades. Never heard of such ridiculous rules they where not even busy so we will spend our money else where. You and your staff really need to look at your attitude even when visiting before you are rude and arrogant! Well won't be booking here anymore I tried to book for Saturday 29th March at 6 for a game of and a meal to find the kitchen shuts at 6 but you are open until 9 what a stupid time to shut the kitchen and money and custom you must be losing there would have been ten of us so would have been worth your while never mind we will spend our money elsewhere and not return us being locals it's a shame .
