A tranquil place set in a lovely village 2 perfect tea rooms my favourite being the post office / / tearoom . The gardens are because of its very nature a place of reflection and calm . In need of a little tlc in places but I can imagine a nightmare to keep up . The is full of Japanese orientated product and there is the opportunity to buy your own acer £5 had to be done got 3 already ! . In all a delightful day out and free parking made all the better for a walk and chill in the Gardens and a trot round to the quaint tea room . Will be going back Beautifully kept gardens. So calming and tranquil. Lovely gifts with very friendly staff. Free parking and a walk around local quaint village and Mawgan tea rooms. On a lovely summer day, we had a super time . We popped by not really sure on what to expect. Upon arrival the lady at the desk was friendly and knowledgeable. Once in the gardens we were taken back! There are some truly stunning Japanese plants here in this well maintained garden. My favourite area has to be the Zen garden!! Stunning plants and scenery. Wasn't busy when we visited. It's good value for money and will definitely be returning in the summer. Also they have a gorgeous gift with all things Japanese plants, gifts and more! Couldn't resist not leaving without a bonsai tree! Goodness! What a hidden little piece of heaven! Stumbled across this place about 15 years ago but for some reason didn’t go in, had young children with me, and always wanted to go back. Today we did and it is just so stunning! Thank you! We will return as we have our season pass now, such good value! I have just said to my children it is my personal heaven here! A beautiful, peaceful place we have been coming to for many years and at various times of the year. We could easily spend several hours just soaking up the tranquility and sounds. Over the years we've seen the gardens expand and change for the better. Anyone who charges round in ½ hour cannot appreciate the beauty of these gardens. The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable. A more beautiful spot we've yet to find. Thankyou owners for letting us view. The only small criticism we have is dogs are not allowed even on a short lead and it can be too hot even in the shade to leave them in the car. Visited this place recently and absolutely amazed. I've been coming to the Newquay area for years and never noticed this place until now. We went shortly after opening time on a weekday, so had the majority of the to ourselves. Nice little relaxing walk with lots of interesting plants and features to see. Few little seating areas scattered around where you can sit and soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the and true tranquil feel. The gift has lots of good high quality and unique gifts and collections. I purchased a variety of ornaments, wall art and trinkets and have been highly satisfied. What a wonderfully diverse and peaceful garden. I could have been whisked away to Japan in the flesh! So many varieties of acers and azalea, the koi pond is a delight and the zen is beautifully quiet and serene. Plus the is plentiful in gifts and souvenirs and has great supply of bonsai trees! I shall certainly be making a return. As someone of Asian heritage, it’s wonderful to discover a that so beautifully captures the essence of Japanese design. The is exceptionally well maintained, and the designer’s passion truly shines through. If you’re a bonsai enthusiast, you’ll be delighted to find many stunning masterpieces on display.
