We had our meal here recently and it was a truly fine dining experience. All courses were expertly prepared and presented by the friendly and courteous staff. We went there on June 16th hoping to get some lunch, but were told they were fully booked, even though there were vacant tables. However, we stopped and had a drink, and as more tables became free, we asked again if we could perhaps just have a snack, but were again refused. A few minutes later a couple, apparently known to the staff, sat down near us and asked for food, and even though they hadn't booked were accepted. Overall he left a bad impression and as tough as the climb is up a bike to the Col de Columbiere next time I will wait for the cafe at the top where the service was exceand no issue with filling water bottled.
