Free wifi. We took a boat tour up thru the Lysefjord. We booked here at the tourist building. The lady had the schedule on her computer. We paid 1600 Krones ($157.30 for 2 adults) Our tour was at 11am, but the boat didn’t Arrive until 11:05. Tour lasted about 2 1/2 hours. It was great. Arrive early if you’re a couple and get the 2 seats in back. Otherwise, you will be sitting with others. Two bathrooms on board. No drinks or snacks are sold. We visited Stavanger in June as part of a cruise, and it was a fantastic first taste of Norway. Our day started with an exhilarating RIB ride along the fjord – a little rain came down, but it didn’t dampen the fun or the stunning scenery. Afterwards, we enjoyed a stroll around the charming town, and as the skies cleared, we climbed up to the Valberget Utsiktspunkt tower for wonderful views. We rounded off our visit browsing some delightful gift shops before heading back to the ship. A great introduction to this beautiful country – we can’t wait to come back! It’s a shame for Stavanger to host such huge boats directly in the city center. People come to visit the old town but can’t take any picture without a cruise ship as background. Strolling through Stavanger is like Disneyland. Is mass tourism the future for Stavanger ? Stavanger Info Point is an absolute gem for visitors! The staff are warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable — they go above and beyond to provide maps, insider tips, and recommendations tailored to your interests :) The Spanish spocken lady advised to me in a perfect way, she I informed to me about everything I needed (or course in Spanish) Thank you very much! Great place to provide up-to-date information. I was helped by a very attentive, kind, tactful woman. She asked what exactly I wanted to see and how many free days I have, and she found the perfect solution for my conditions. A very attentive employee. Thank you and good luck with your center.
