It's a small lighthouse and a visit inside is well worth the visit. Just ask in the cafe attached. After visiting, homemade cake and coffee is on offer Another great Norwegian lighthouse surrounded by the beautiful landscape, complete with a wide range of flora and fauna. Best spot for aurora hunting. The beach is dark enough and facing the right direction towards north pole. Place is calm and beautiful. Sometimes we got annoyed by ship crossing Nice long hike but no public transportation to the place Un po' desolato. Forse perché era chiuso. Very nice place to visit and to drink a good coffee! Have to try ;) Later edit 2022: very sad that they don't use anymore normal (natural) milk for coffees 😕 ( -3 stars ) Great place and good view! However the best time to visit when it's sunny weather without rain. It can be quite windy so take jacket. This is a really nice historic site to visit with beautiful scenery. There is a lot if information about Norwegian lighthouse history and also World War 2 infrastructure can still be seen around the area. Its a great place for walking, fishing from the shore, and learning a bit of the area's history. Great location. I visited after hours on a Sunday evening. I’ll be back again for tea and cakes. I’m told these are served before 4pm on Sundays Nice easy afternoon out. The cafe was closed due to the season although we have been there when it's been open. Good place to get a brew and bimble around the water. We had a late flight, so we basically had a day to spare, but not enough to venture far out of Stavanger. Tungenes Fyr was the ideal place to explore. We were practically the only ones there. Nothing was open though, so we walked around, dipped our toes in the water, and basically enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area. Although really quiet it was not, for there were birds that were particularly loud. I later found out that they were the common redshank. The birds had their breeding plumage so they were probably trying to scare us away from their nests. If one has done all of the much sought out explorations Stavanger has to offer and you want to spend a quiet day with a small picnic in peace, i recommend visiting Tungenes fyr. Koselig lite sted med fin utsikt. Very nice and helpful service, nice view, good cake. 😊 Fint turområde Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
