Mosvangan is a park with a place for vehicles. Every Saturday there will be a 5k park run (free) happening at this place. Went for a run for the past three weeks. Such a beautiful place, there's swimming pool also near by. A small caffe is also there. near the center of Stavanger and next to a lake. The sanitary is very clean and modern and taken care of regularly. Quite pricey for a and we couldn't choose our place even though the campsite was almost empty. Excellent within easy walking distance (2km) of the town centre yet feeling much more remote with lovely by the lake. Running and cycle tracks round the border the site. Toilet blocks very clean and modern with good showers Laundry facilities if need to catch up on this. Numbered pitches would have helped understanding of where wanted us to pitch. About £33 a night incl electric and free showers. We camped in a tent but right in the city beside a beautiful lake. Lots of campervans and very busy. Excellent camp site, superbly run and extremely busy. The is fantastic on a beautiful and next to a public swimming pool. All the amenities are available, showers, washing machines and an excellent kitchen. For us the big plus was the fabulous cycling lane from the campsite to the city centre that was almost completely free of car and truck traffic. Stavanger has to rate a super cycle city, just ten minutes. Mosvatnet is a lovely and park with a walk around the perimeter. The bus stop is also outside the and we went to Pulpit Rock from there, an unmissable experience if physically challenging. One of the friendliest and most sympathetic I've ever met! The facilities are perfect. The is great: Near a lake, and a wonderful cycling route to nearby downtown. And I could change my German gas bottle! If anybody complains that it's quite busy, well, that's not the fault of the 😁 Maybe it's the fault of Norway, it's just so beautiful. And if even more people knew that, well, then Stavanger needed more sites 😁 Large site. Arrived 5ish and got the last 2 places. We were lucky and didn’t need chocks but the ones down each side all needed them. Situated by a which is easy to walk round. Facilities are good and the washing and drying machines are operated with a QR code. There was a lot of noise late at night from one motorhome but it was in a different area to us!! Nice 30 min walk to Stavanger centre was great. SO cosy spot! in itself is good but very close to the road so quite a bit of traffic noise. But bathrooms with toilets and baths, and all in all a cool place to stay. Good but when we visited we were packed in like sardines; however, better this than being turned away. Need to arrive early (before 14h30) in summer to secure a space. No privacy Every inch is used to locate campers, also next to the sanitary building. More vehiceles placed then legaly allowed. Situated next to Mosvangen park. Good bus connection to Stavanger. Friendly Good place. We got good spot for our tent. The kids from other families were indeed quite loud. Very busy campsite. It was handy that they have washing machines, kitchen, shower and toilet. We got nice spot for our tent. It is a busy camp though. There are a lot of families so the kids can be noisy at night. We’ve been touring through Norway for more than two weeks now and this has been the best maintained campground by far, even compared to all other campgrounds we’ve seen yet. The is excellent next to a and near the city center. There is a cozy terrace with a kitchen attached to it available and both a washing machine and a kiosk where you can get drinks and rental bikes even. Personnel is super helpful and available until late in the evening. Also, the restrooms seem to get cleaned super often and hence are very tidy. we decided to stay for two nights and did not regret it - thanks! Very, very nice staff; value for the price (17eur for single person with tent); includes unlimited showers, access to a kitchen; laundry + dryers available for additional cost. Would visit again if I were in Stavanger again. Shout-out to the Austrian member, very lovely guy. Pro's: Friendly staff. location. Clean restrooms. Cons: Expensive. Littering and garbage. Way too few toilets in the high season. Long ques in the morning. Limited showers with no cold water. Public pool (not part of the camp, so extra charge). Tiny and limited playground for children. Poor area for tent camping. Lack of shade. A bit chaotic in high season. Very friendly and helpful staff, good facilities and lovely location, but one star down because the wifi connection isn't available over the entire site. I had asked if it was, and was answered yes. I could connect around the reception area, but towards my van it had gone.
