Can be a bit too busy but you can find quieter spots. Great for renting boats and canoes. There are a parking lot available in the front of the area, then the animals on the way to the main recreational nearby to the water. There are designated spots for BBQ, if you are lucky u can get one. There are wc and tap drink water nearby the water were the WC. Restaurants are closed du Covid19. Sweming and fishing are in the front, hiking trails on the back of the water areas. Take hand sop and toilet papers because there is nothing there. Quite crowded, but the campsite was quite ok The best bathing near Uppsala. You can grill, rent paddle boat or canno. Walk in the forrest. Also toilets, changing rooms, restaurant, hire rooms. Great place for summer outings. Heritage train enhances the experience A nice place for the people living in and around the Uppsala area. There are some animals like cows, sheep and goats so it is very nice for the kids. There is plenty of parking. Great in nature to rest your mind from the city with many places to have fire for bbq directly next to the lake. Or have a nice walk in the and ending up in the little coffee shop in the area. This offers many more activities for everyone in the family and each season (e.g. adventure climbing path, playground, rental of cottage, water jumping tower for the summer, prepared traces on the lake and longski in the winter, hiking traces for each season m.m.). Many parking spaces available. Well connected even with busses from Uppsala. Check the Facebook page for more and updated activities in this area! Very nice place, specially the journey by toy-train from Uppsala central is very enjoyable. We walked around the lake Ramsen, 4.5 km, very nice path (Vildmarksled on the map of Fjällnora) leading through diverse terrain. Vildmarkesleden trail was lovely. Some parts quite hilly and muddy but views are wonderful. Not too advanced. Unbedingt empfehlenswerter Campingplatz.
