We always Spend in bars & restaurants & shops so it brings income into the Towns. Not the council's. Especially around this coastline it's expensive to visit little villages when you are on a budget. It was well worth paying this time because the Town is beautiful and so friendly. Loved that it didn't have bright lights on at night, so you could see the Stars. The young locals ( I presume) used the road outside the camping car park as a track to race their motorbikes and cars all night. We stayed two nights instead of one as it's so good. Cycling is a bit hairy. If Cycling to Brignoles, please make sure you don't follow Google Maps Cycle Route as it takes you up a very steep and damaged road that is more like a river bed after a tsunami.
