Lovely location, especially if you visit during the summer. Wished there were a cafe or something bigger where you can sit outside and enjoy the surrounding nature. Nonetheless, worth the visit. No car charging (out of order) No hand sanitizers at breakfast available. No dinnner or anything to eat or drink in the evening. Actually not a single soul seen 7pm nowhere. Not even staff. Hand soap in the room was hair shampoo. Beautiful area and castle. Peaceful and silent. Rooms are not in the castle but in outside buildings and not very special. Breakfast below swedish average. One visit ok, but perhaps not again. Only visited the beach for a quick swim. Fabulous environment with history, though. Great spot for a swim.. I haven't been inside yet, so will probably go another time. Easy to get to by bus from Uppsala, there's a bus goes right to the Slott. Nice walks too nearby. Café at least.. We only visited the restaurant and had a walk around the 3k path. It was beautiful and very idyllic. The service at the restaurant was fast and the food was delicious. We are considering coming back for a weekend and staying at the hotel some time soon! Thank you. This is a review for the summer restaurant Terrace: It was lovely. Beautiful place with great service and food. We liked all lunch dishes. Plenty of non alcoholic options. Coffee and tea are included and dessert was really fresh. Prices were good. The fish and chips was a big portion, but I got a picture half way the dish. Great place to spend a nice lunch with friends or family. For a hose with claustrophobia: Bathroom was small, but had a window. Regular lock inside of the door frame. We were just here for the day but enjoyed the fantastic surroundings and the lovely restaurant. We ordered mostly appetizers for a light lunch and sat on the wonderful terrace overlooking the water. We liked that they had some very vegetarian options as well - specifically the mozzarella salad and the fried cheese with parsnip entree. Service was very friendly as well. Had lunch at the new Trädgårdsbaren (Garden bar), which is just outside the castle building at Wiks slott. The setting is lovely, as expected, the bar food was and the service was excellent. They also have a set of Uppsala Brygghus beers on tap. I would have given 5* but rated it as 4* as I thought that, even though the food was very good, the portion size of my toast skagen was economical to say the least. For the 215kr they charge, I've had just as and 3x the portion size at a restaurant in Uppsala city for this price. Definitely worth checking out, especially during the summer!
