Great local and chip shop. We especially liked the beef pie. The spicy haggis was excellent too. We ended up with enough food for lunch and left over for breakfast for under $20 Quick and friendly service. Tasty supper though a bit dry today. Black pudding supper was great. Smoke sausage wasn't the best today a bit over cooked shall we say. Wish I went for the scampi supper special in hindsight.. worth looking at the specials before ordering your usual like I did today. I met up with my family in Aberlour and went to this chip shop we ordered 10 suppers. were very good and so was the black pudding that I had everyone else enjoyed there’s, I did try the deep fry pizza in batter this was not for me but my nephew like it. Staff where very helpful and all the came out together. Great job. having chip suppers under the trees. Today I visited this chip shop . I ordered two black puddings with cheesy only to out after I left that he only gave me the cheesey and when I went back to tell him of his mistake he started making fun of me with the other customer because I mentioned I was going to miss my bus because of this and only gave me the one black puddings when I had originally ordered two. Absolutely appealing customer service and do not recommend this place. The girls who work for him looked extremely uncomfortable with his behavior. If you want to be treated like something you at the bottom of you shoe this is the place to go. Shame it isn't called Karen's diner. are so dry and taste like they have been hanging around since lunch time. The haddock is tasty but the batter is dripping on oil. sorry to say worst food we have had in the area. maybe just a one off bit seams like the last reviews reflect what we have. wouldn’t recommend My whole family were visiting our parents locally and we put in a huge for all 16 of us. The was ready to collect on time and the owner and all the staff were really nice and friendly when we collected it. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their varied meals of suppers, battered sausages, gluten-free chicken and various other accompaniments. Lovely! This is my second time visiting the Speyside region, and after trying several and chip shops in the area, this one is hands down the best. The food is excellent - perfectly crispy batter, fresh fish, and cooked just right. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality you’re getting. What really sets this place apart though is the friendly staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. If you’re in Speyside and craving proper and chips, don’t waste your time elsewhere - this is the place to go. Highly recommended! I'm a local resident and I that the overall service in the chippy has deteriorated a wee bit. You can often yourself going into the shop and not get served for a while as the staff clean around you and the once they are finished take your order. No reason the guy doing the frying can't ask what your wanting, get it in the fryer and put it through the till in due course. I also find, on most occasions, that you are asked the "salt and vinegar" question and then they do something different because the staff wrap it up and call your as they hand over the bag. Just ask the customer that is (probably) stood in front of you how they would like it at the time. And finally, everything takes ages now... It didn't used to... I get that you cook most stuff to but 95%+ of orders will include chips. If I go in just for a bag of chips, I it strange that a 15 min wait isn't uncommon. Just keep going through the fryer. I worked in a chippy in Helensburgh years ago and it was far more efficient. That all sounds really bad... it's not, it just a few tiny tweaks that would make it so much better. On the whole it's a good chipper!!
