We hadn’t even got inside the and we were greeted by the most wonderful Irish lady who was refilling the vending machine outside. She was discussing the area and talking us through how the vending machines worked etc. Absolutely wonderful lady and so friendly! The itself was INCREDIBLE. So many different products available; fresh food, delicious looking ready-meals, jars of jams and chutney, sandwiches… the lot! We then decided to get some food to go from the cafe, and the tuna roll was insane. So fresh and tasty, I’ve never had better! Absolutely pay a visit here!! Stopped off here for lunch but was disappointed with the choices available. Some of the bill of fare is written on a blackboard. There are unnamed heated pies and sausages rolls on display. I asked if they had egg mayo sandwiches and was directed to the children's section at the start of the counter. The server seemed perplexed when I indicated I was too old to be classed as a child. We had broccoli and cheese soup, which was nice. We also had greasy sausage roll and a steak pie which we thought might have been offered along with an accompaniment such as beans. As a local I can now strike this place off my list of eating establishments however if I was a tourist I would be shocked if this was the standard of eating facilities in Elgin. Good selection of local produce, local eggs at a good price. Range of grocery, chilled and frozen items as well as non food aprons, oven gloves, etc. Fantastic wee cafe / restaurant where the food is freshly made from local ingredients and good coffee. Well worth a visit Looks big but isn't most things are over priced Great choice of products and an excellent café What a beautiful place, filled with homegrown and homemade delicacies. From local veg to jams, spreads, eggs, alcohol and meats. Everything is sourced from the borth and borth east of Scotland. There isba restaurant at the back and some wonderful things to buy. I will be back often I am sure Easy wheelchair access. Lovely staff, very generous servings. Small coffee cups, (for those that like large coffee). Interesting selection of items in the shop, decent car park. Great selection of food, gifts and fresh produce. Visited a couple of times when in the area and the staff were really friendly too. It's only my first visit to the restaurant so I tried the scone and tea as a base on an attempt to find out if this will be a regular spot. I found the scone to be dry so not sure how fresh it was and considering the amount of jam choices in the was surprised at the choice and portion size supplied. but it i like the furniture it's bright and airy and they did refill my teapot. It's up for debate on the return visit but I will always visit the for the eggs. My favourite place for coffee and lunch in Elgin. Delicious food, friendly helpful staff and the soup is best of all. I dont recommend the allarburn farm cafe my husband and I went in for a bacon roll this morning we got our drinks and before we even had a chance to sit down at the table the server came through with our bacon rolls which was cold and the bacon was obviously cooked before hand ready to serve. My husband had a latte it didn’t look or even taste like a latte. Cheese scone was nice, hubby had bacon roll lovely coffee but wow the café bit was pretty empty, seen the day you'd have been queuing for a while to get a table... maybe was just a slow Sat. Overall good.
