What a lovely place, service, good tasty reasonably priced food, good coffee. Busy but a nice atmosphere, not loud. Always a qué at the door which always say's a lot for a place. Nice carpark at the back and a open seated area outdoors. Looking forward to coming back. Oh my the best ever! Totally enjoyed pancakes/yoghurt/berries & pancakes/banana/bacon/maple syrup. If I was staying/passing/returning I would eat here again as was so good. Not only that, the service was and efficient and the atmosphere fab. Visit and you won’t be disappointed. Then we enjoyed a lovely river walk very nearby. Definitely would recommend stopping by this amazing breakfast and lunch place. Amazing hotdog, gluten free and vegan options. Cakes available! And we were greeted warmly by a lovely staf member on her first day🥰 Had a little miscommunication where we began an order at the counter and were then directed to a table. I'm glad we got it sorted out because the food and coffee were great, and the staff very accommodating despite being so busy on a beautiful Saturday morning. Vegan option was (sausages and veggie haggis all vegan). stay for one night when walking the Speyside Way. Staff were so kind and helpful. Room was big, clean, and bright. Bed was very comfortable. Some lovely forest walks from the front door. Fantastic value and option to self cater in a well-equipped kitchen. Dropped in for lunch, when the Hill to Fork event was on. Staff coped very well, when the village was much busier than normal. My soup with a cheese scone was delicious, and my husband really enjoyed his pancakes Great that it's dog too I only came for the cafe after it came highly recommended from a friend, I made a special drive for it. The service was warm, friendly, and so welcoming and the location is cozy and beautiful. Unfortunately however, the food was a major let down and just not up to par. Soup flavors not balanced, texture not homogenous, and my banana were anything but “fluffy” as listed on the menu - they were quite firm and hard, I’m afraid I cannot comment on guesthouse of course, since I didn’t stay there Really cute and eclectic cafe! Sandwiches and soups were very tasy. The cakes and sweets are delicious. Lovely little cafe with wonderful staff. Everyone was so & helpful even though they were run off their feet. The avocado special was amazing. If I hadn't been in public, I would have licked the plate! OH had with maple syrup, bacon & egg. He declared it delicious. Washed down with a nice pot of tea. It is a delightful cafe & we wouldn't hesitate to return so we can try the fab cakes. The most amazing Eccelefechan Tart! We kept going back for more and brought some back to Yorkshire! I now have withdrawal symptoms! Amazing! Best coffee I have ever had, delicious breakfast! Friendly, quick service. This has been the best food of our trip so far. A must visit. We will definitely be coming back, hopefully to stay in the rooms next time. We had a couple of nights here. The room was comfortable and the cafe charming. It’s value for money and we’d definitely stay again as we enjoy the Cairngorms. We did some fantastic walks and visited nice distilleries in the area. The access to the kitchen was fantastic. We could have made dinner, but we did make our breakfast on the Wednesday they were closed and made sandwiches to take for our lunches. Having the fridge access was great. I’m very glad we did two nights. We could have even done three since there is so much to do in the area. You do need to think about where you would go for dinner. We went to the Nethy hotel across the street, which was great, but if you have had a long day of hiking you’d want to have your dinner figured out somewhere in the area earlier in the day. I've visited for lunch twice now. Not left disappointed. As a coealic, there are many gluten-free save options. We've had really nice brunches here previously, but on a freezing cold, wet and windy day at the beginning of February, we were asked to wait outside in the street for an indefinite period until there was a spare table. We're elderly, so we just left, as did another couple behind us. There were free chairs at a table for four occupied by one person, and at the window. The staff could have asked if people minded if we shared the table, but didn't. We'll not be back. We had breakfast at Nethy House Café & Rooms and were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. The staff were very friendly, and our food was prepared quickly. Everything tasted great, and the quality was excellent. Even if you're not into the classic English breakfast, there are delicious alternatives to choose from. A lovely place to start the day—highly recommended! Only stopped by during my bike trip for lunch. The food was really nice whilst staying affordable and the staff was very welcoming. Bonus points for having a bike rack in the parking lot was really handy for me!
