If you're lucky, you'll meet the monkey that escapes his area and wanders free. My toddler insisted on coming back with a banana. There are a number of other creatures here that spark interest. Spent at least 2hrs. Arrived in the afternoon, watched the birdshow featuring an eagle, vulture and three owls. At the entrance, we had bought two sacs with animal feed and the kids had fun feeding the animals. Beautiful place, especially for families with young children. I also really wanna recommend the WILDNISSCHULE SAARLAND ❗️they also have a camp there - great people and great adventure to learn everything about nature :) If you choose to buy some deerfood you can feed the deer, nearly all of them will come running towards you for some pellets. Fun for people of all ages. They have lots of different animals. Including a monkey (that keeps escaping), birds of prey, geese, raccoondogs and more! There is one way you can walk, which takes you past all the animals. Lovely low pressure place. Petting zoo? No. Friendly? Yes. Helpful? Yes. Hot? Very, on the day we went. Low tech, for better or worse. Children fell and scraped knees, but that's probably our fault Beautiful park with lots of opportunities to feed several different animals. Has 2 playground parks for kids. Restaurant at the entrance. Really friendly staff! Make sure to get enough food for the when purchasing tickets. Amazing place. I highly recommend it. There are different 'shows' that you can attend and get to know more about different animals. Very friendly and helpful personnel. Would recommend to all animal lovers and families with (young) children! Very peaceful, lots of well taken care of. All are friendly. Part of the bird show was canceled due to sheep braking out of their gates,lol. But what we saw was worth it. Me personally would have liked cleaner toilets, but I guess it's people who mess them up.
