Lovely looking building but unfortunately undergoing renovations so town side is mostly obscured by scaffolding. Not a big castle, but looks lovely. Well worth a wander round outside. It is very photogenic. Sit outside a bar nearby, take a beer and enjoy the view. Impressive architecture, didn't get to look inside as we had been to Jonzac's night market and so arrived too late. An attractive building but you can't go inside. The grounds are very beautiful and well worth a while sitting and appreciating the surroundings The castle/chateaux at Jonzac was typically and beaurifully french, however, a road now runs through the centre. Jonzac is a pretty little town though. Shame you can't properly visit, as its divided into town hall and administrative buildings. Beautiful architecture. The description of the Chateau leaves out the fact that the Chateau is a local authorities council building,and not really a tourist destination.Google maps doesn't give opening or closing times or a website, just a link to French only tourist information details.
