Lovely campsite right by sea and a short walk into Montrose. Very good clean facilities. base for bird/seal watching on the Basin and visiting Pictish stones. Don’t miss Bamse’s grave - what a dog! What a wee site. Folks who look after the site are friendly, knowledgeable of local area. The toilets and showers are always clean. Site is well kept. We were on pitch 67 and got a chance to see 2 red squirrels playing in the conifers near our pitch. Place is real quiet. Just up the road about 5 min walk is a cafe. Does a superb flat white and lovely munchies. Montrose beach has a lovely sandy area for peeps and dogs alike. The walk to nearest convenience store is 10 mins away with town centre 5 more than that. Lovely cafe called the Pavillion cafe is another one for a flat white. There are plenty of off-site dog walking. We got a chance to spot a seal just off the coast. All in all we had a stay at South Links Holiday Park and will call in again. Thank you We have just had the best weekend in our motorhome here. Site is lovely peaceful and well laid out. Facilities are very clean nice hot showers. Warden was lovely very cheery and helpful. Easy walk into town for shops and pubs and an easy walk to the beautiful Basin with views to die for. Definitely return. Surprisingly huge caravan park with tons of restaurants within walking distance. The only downside is the shower and toilet block. Showers are very clean, but only stay on for a few seconds. Love our wee trip to south links. Fantastic park staff are nice also toilets spotless, washing machines and dryers great. Everyone should camp there they won’t regret it. Only thing was kids aren’t allowed to play any type of ball game. Only people who seemed to have an issue with kids playing with a ball seemed to be the ones in caravans who probably have their vans there permanent. No one was rowdy or causing any bother but the older generation stood staring and talking about the campers which I felt was rude. They may be retired there but people go there to camp and have a wee holiday also Older generation I feel should remember they were once kids and liked to play Unbelievably noisy. 11pm and still kids screaming. Staff gone so no way to report it. Facilities are fine but this is a joke.
