Had a pleasant meal. Good food at reasonable prices. Lovely quiet restaurant attached to the hotel. Extensive menu as well as a good choice on the daily specials. Phenomenal food, very welcoming atmosphere due to the interior and staff Brilliant food. Good beer. Great service. An absolute delight all evening. Just had lunch here, oh wow, oh wow. Best bruschetta I’ve ever had and I’m old. Go, just go. My wife said her macaroni was exceptional. My mouth is still buzzing, if I could give the food 100 stars I would. Absolutely brilliant Food was lovely. No complaints at all. However, when it came to paying, (I always use Apple Pay) the machine wanted me to swipe my card. I never have my with me because as already stated, I use Apple Pay. I informed the lady that I did not have my card. She said in a loud voice that she needed payment.and said that the machine did not belong to the establishment. I informed her that there must be a problem with the machine as exactly the same thing happened the last time I visited in January. At that time I thought it was a glitch and never thought for one minute that it would happen again. When I told her this she shrugged her shoulders and said “that’s technology “. She then admitted that it had happened a “few times” I found the whole situation extremely embarrassing as the restaurant was full and there were other customers waiting to pay. She then said I could pay over the phone with my the following day so “I wouldn’t have to come back in to pay!!!” I told her I wouldn’t be coming all the way back from Arbroath and I duly gave her my phone number so she will phone me tomorrow and I will pay by card. However, I think the restaurant need to take responsibility for this, and investigate why this is happening. This is the only place that I have had problems using Apple Pay. The whole point of it is that you don’t need to carry your card. Quite frankly I felt humiliated and felt as if I I just didn’t want to pay for my meal. I think this is poor service and very poor attitude from staff. I certainly wouldn’t want anyone else feel the way I was made to feel. I certainly won’t be going back. Been at Milton Inn. For lunch today , 5 of us, we were very satisfied, with the service, of waiting staff and the food was excellent 100% We will be back again,,to see you. kind regards , jim Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
