Popped in for a drink with the grandchildren. Service was swift with the assistant being polite and efficient as well as friendly. The grandchildren enjoyed their cakes and biscuits and the hot drinks for the adults were refreshing and hot especially as the day had been dry but very windy. There were only a small number of people in the Starbucks and so the atmosphere was a little lacking though on the plus side it was possible to have a conversation without the background noise. If I drank coffee I am sure it's good I have had a tea though and that was ok Nice, good parking. Friendly staff. Could maybe encourage people to clean up more. New building as well. A lot of seating. Handy from Whitehaven. I was visiting my Dad so was really pleased to find a Starbucks had opened. I much prefer Starbucks than other coffee chains. Staff were good but make sure you enter your number plate in the ipad on the counter. You can end up with a large fine as my mate did. Prices creeping up very steep. Relaxed atmosphere with plenty of Scandinavian style seating. Every time we visit this Starbucks it is filthy, constantly have to clean our own tables and watch where we are standing. Staff are slow and ill-mannered and have 0 interest in making sure the place is clean. Always have to have our drinks in paper cups as they don’t have any clean glassware. Maybe put additional staff on shift to clean tables and make the place more appealing. Ordered at the drive through. Told to go to the window. We did only to be told it was cash only. So had to drive over to the cash machine then go inside. To get the coffees they had already made and left down at the end going cold...This along with the food on the floor was not my idea of a great experience. The drive thru is hit and miss as to whether it is open or not. 7 oclock in the morning and it's closed, it's meant to be open from 6am.
