Our first visit to this venue. Booked a table for lunch and we were really impressed with our meal. It was all freshly cooked to order and delicious. We sat in the restaurant, but there was a lovely garden area and also a bar for anyone just wanting to pop in for a drink. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back. Really nice place..went for the beef which was very good,but only 1 portion of veg per 4 meals 🤔 so orderd another which was smaller than the first..lamb didnt come with separate gravy 🫣..good service from the 2 blonde ladies..puddings were delish especially the summer eton mess cheesecake..overall very 8/10 just some minor tweeks to make a 10... Called in while passing on the chance of a table the lady managed to fit me and my wife in 10/11/24 at 1pm it was very busy. Due to my dietary needs I was quickly sorted with a Veg Wellington and my wife had their lamb burger both dishes were faultless , What a little gem of a place the owners have made. We visited the Bridge End Inn for lunch, plenty of seating to choose from both inside and out. Warm welcome and service throughout our meal. We ordered the chicken burger, ploughman's, chicken skewers (starter) with a side of chips and the Thai green curry which was the curry of the week. The lunchtime menu had plenty to offer with all the usual favourites. We enjoyed the chicken skewers and the chicken burger both of which went down well. I only gave four stars out of five as the Thai curry was a little lacking in flavour and as a personal preference would have preferred a few less crackers for a chunk of crusty bread with the ploughman's which was very substantial with a selection of cheeses. Amazing service! Amazing staff! Amazing food! Thank you for being so accommodating. The pizza and lasagne where yummy! We will be back. Very nice Pub/restaurant. Visit regularly and always good. Lovely location for a walk along the river too. Stayed close by on a recent break. Visted The Bridge End Inn twice. Firstly we went for a Sunday lunch which couldn't be faulted. Decided to return for the regular menu available every day apart from Sunday. Again, the food was amazing and not overly pricey considering the quality. Cannot recommend this place enough. If you're in the area, this place is a must. We would definitely return were we visiting the area again. The staff here were absolutely amazing. So friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and we wanted pudding but were too full 🙈 You HAVE to get the cheese sauce. It’s not on the menu but definitely ask for it! And always busy which speaks volumes to how well liked this place is by locals and visitors alike. Visited my family in Carlisle last week and decided at the last minute to go get something to eat. My sister in law suggested the Bridge end in Dalston.
