Freudenstadt Altstadt

Freudenstadt, Germany Historical landmark

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. View is a perfect. Here is tourist city. You can see good gardens. The town planned by Duke Frederick of Württemberg was really ahead of its time in 1598. An orderly layout of concentric squares and street crossings at 90° angles. Though needlessly destroyed by the French very late in WWII, the centre square has been rebuilt in style, with arcaded houses running right around the largest market square in Germany. No ugly buildings mar the view. A pleasant town to stay when exploring the North of the Blak Forest. Very nice town, good vibe, clean Great visit for old and young. It is a pretty community with a long history. I have to come back another time. The large snow falls were just melting off a bit, sludge everywhere, grey and miserable. I checked out the Christmas Market next to the main square. It was one lonely stall belting out "White Christmas". I went back to Gengenbach hoping Freudenstadt would seek encouragement, would reflect on how to make it more appealing for its citizens if not just visitors like me. Or, perhaps it just was not my time to be in Freudenstadt. I'm going back ... some time.... One nice sity in Germany Recommended!
