Wow, wonderful chateau, nice views and gallery as well. Ale around the chateau is full of carpfish and ducks. Lady which sell us the tickets was nice and kind. Amazing restoration of a very old castle. You can walk around the grounds and climb the towers. Beautiful. It's very quiet here and there was nobody else there but us. There is a self serve entrance where you simply put in your money into a box. Please be sure to pay - they really did a ton of work to get the castle restored and do an amazing job keeping it in great condition. Beautiful, peaceful, lots of historic information, two towers to climb, just loved it. Liked this more than I expected. The entry is reasonable, and they had a couple of art exhibitions as well as the ruined Chateau itself. It's a cool place to explore, ruined but in good enough condition to imagine what it must have been like. There are good information boards. You can go right to the top of the towers too which is fun. Kids would love it with some supervision on the high bits. Probably an hour's worth, maybe 2 if you went slowly. There is also a nice church to visit outside. The "fairytale" story surrounding it is very fitting. Morning felt like the best time to visit. Delightful chateau with great information regarding its history. Well worth a visit Interesting and unspoiled. Small but almost every bit is accessible. Kids loved climbing up the tiny staircase of those old towers We had a really exciting time exploring Le château de Gratot, definitely worth a visit!
