Fried stuff was delicious but some non-fish meats were tough. Service is ok. All the foods were delivered fast. Our experience was very good. As we arrived, straight away the waiter come with the menu. Very kind and helpful. The place is very nice, parking is quite big. Food, it's amazing good and comes in big portions. It is a must to have that particular wine along with the dish. Nice cozy place, excellent service. Update 2025: they changed the recipie of the soup. Some may like it some not. My new top spot for Halászlé (Hungarian soup). If you're afraid of bones or unsure if you can finish the 3 person normal order, you can choose a cup of fileed carp soup. The Carp paprikash with "túróscsusza" (cottage cheese egg pasta) is heavenly. If you're pescatarian make sure to ask for "pörc nélkül" (without bacon bits), as otherwise that's a given. In general portions are huge. Share portions for 2 or even 3 persons for soup, My favorite is the carp one which is super delicious here, but if this is your first time ordering mixed (carp and catfish) will give you the lay of the land. Soup base is somewhat spicy (they'll give you extra green peppers which are seriously spicy (add gradually if more heat is needed), and all foods are slightly salty, which is true to local traditional cooking. Great place to eat the famous Szegedi halászlé! The was awesome👌! The portions are big. The waiters are friendly and the athmospere is inviting! Whenever I have the chance to be in Szeged, I always try to drive out to Algyő to eat a traditional soup! A place that you must exerience! Smaller place, delucious food. The fishsoup is a must.
