Ce majestueux château du XIème siècle est parfaitement conservé. Il est classé monument historique depuis 40 ans. Il a été restauré par la famille Wagner. Il ouvre ses portes pour des événements privés, mariages, réceptions, séminaires, fêtes d'entreprises mais également pour des événements ouverts à tous. Il propose également plusieurs gîtes pour y séjourner et comporte un fabuleux jardin où ont lieu de magnifiques expositions. Il se trouve au milieu d'un écrin de verdure et de nature. À découvrir. We were invited to a wedding and this place is really beautiful. We just stayed outside so I cannot talk about the castle itself inside but the outside part is amazing and also really clean. Le cadre est magnifique, chargé d’histoire, avec des extérieurs somptueux et des espaces parfaitement adaptés à chaque moment de la journée. Nos invités ont été émerveillés ! L’équipe sur place a été professionnelle, à l’écoute et vraiment bienveillante du début à la fin. Grâce à eux, nous avons pu profiter pleinement de notre journée sans stress. Tout était fluide, bien organisé, et l’ambiance unique du château a ajouté une touche de féérie à notre mariage. Un grand merci au Château de Thanvillé pour avoir contribué à faire de ce jour l’un des plus beaux de notre vie. Nous recommandons ce lieu les yeux fermés à tous les futurs mariés ! Very good with private transportation Unfortunately we had a generally positive stay end on a negative note. We booked via Airbnb and were surprised that our hosts left us a negative review regarding cleaning (we have stayed in dozens of airbnbs all over the world and this is the first time that has happened). We stayed with 4 adults, 2 dogs and a toddler which was clear from the booking, over Christmas when we spent a lot of time in the apartment and cooked a lot etc. I’m sure the apartment required a decent Clean as is normal after a 4 night stay, and is covered by a cleaning charge - nothing out of the ordinary whatsoever. There were 0 instructions on the app (or any information at all) about if they had any specific expectations (seems they wanted us to clean the fridge), and very minimal cleaning equipment (no cloths, cleaning spray or vacuum cleaner for example) We did what we’d normally do which is take all of our stuff and leave the garbage and recycling as per instructions (we called them to clarify). We didn’t wipe down all the surfaces or vacuum which we would nt usually do anyway at an Airbnb and there also wasn’t the necessary equipment to do so (we tried to brush hair off the sofas with a rubber broom which you can imagine wasn’t that effective!) I would suggest better communication from the outset about expectations of a ‘pre clean’ (and more equipment) or more tolerance of inevitable dirt from guests’ stay .
