Actually its a nice place with good view. But while we parked there, some of our stuff got stolen by teenagers. The security camera of our car took pictures of them. The ruin of the Wineck is an interesting small to walk around. Access to the internal / keep area isn't possible normally. A locked gate blocks the way which is rare in the Alsace region. The building itself dominates the village and the vineyards around....Very beautiful in the autumn. Free car park at 400 metres from the castle. Easy access. Nice place to visit with a spectacular view. However to get there by foot or ordinary bike is kind of a challenge as the route up there is rather steep. Great views of the vineyards. Plenty of picnic tables on the way up and at the castle. It is a bit of a climb though! Views from here are excellent. Parking nearby, or just hike from town. You can take different paths on the way up and down. Nice place. The is unfortunately closed. Ruine accessible depuis Katzenthal ou Ammerschwihr facilement, pas tres haut. Il offre un panorama agréable et calme, cependant on regrettera qu'il ne soit pas toujours ouvert au public. Ce n'est ouvert que le dimanche de 14 á 18h... Beautiful vista from ramparts of castle. Caution: Road to top is narrow (single lane) for vehicles. It is a nice small with an interesting shape and dry moat, surrounded by wineyards. There are 3 parking lots where the steep foothpath to the starts. Waking time is around 10 minutes.
