Much of it is strewn with rocks and covered with pebbles of all kinds and colours, but there's a stretch of soft clean sand close to the pier that is a great place for younger children to play and build sandcastles. You only have to go down a few steps from the prom to the sands at this point, and there's also a slipway suitable for wheelchairs and prams. I was here on the last day of March, when there was not much to do but take a leisurely stroll, but boat trips run from the wooden jetty from Easter to October, and there are donkey rides and Punch and Judy shows throughout the summer months. The views of the Great and Little Orme, with Llandudno's Victorian promenade in between, are wonderful at any time of the year! There's also a children's funfair with a ferris wheel and small rides. You can get an ice-cream or fish and chips here, but watch out for the seagulls: a lady on my coach trip had a cornet snatched out of her hand as she was walking along the seafront. Dogs love it. The town centre is nearby where you’ve got a good selection of stores for shopping, food, tea, coffee etc. sat on the prom on a sunny day watching the world go by , the boat trips coming and going . walked to the pier amusements , crowded with families enjoying their day out then walked back into town for the best fish and chips before the return coach journey home. a grand day out ! will return hopefully soon Nice clean beach, great to enjoy the weather at, but not much to do besides relax. Seagulls will go after your food if you try to picnic! Good when the tide is out. Good views , Great Orme one side , little Orme the other. You can park up right next to it, basically. Depending on the availability of parking places . Some parts towards the town centre and the Theatre ,going the opposite way , there are parking meters, disabled parking is free. Mind the pebbles when going down towards the beach. You will end up hitting the ground. I think going more towards town and a going further the opposite way may be easier to get on to it. There is a walking road in between the beech and pavement which is great to be on , also plenty of benches and places which are covered to sit and relax. All in all it's a nice place to be and just sit a d enjoy the view. The toilets are towards the pier. It's also OK for fishing when the tides are right. We enjoy going there . It will be much better if it was sunny. Foods in the market is good with a fair price. Landscape is also nice to spend a afternoon with walkies on the We went to Llandudno yesterday 20.04.2025.
