West Shore Beach

Love this of Llandudno it's very quiet and your usually able to get parked. There's a nice along the Sea shore and a nice after your stroll. If your feeling like you've got more energy than a on the prom there also something for you with a up the quieter of the Orme. West Shore in Llandudno is a tranquil spot with golden sands, stunning sunsets, and of Conwy Mountain ,its just 10mins from llandudno pier. Quieter than the North Shore, it’s ideal for walks, picnics, and a relaxing escape by the sea It was a day out, the weather was lovely and so was the beach… it’s quite a pebbley so make sure you have appropriate footwear if you want to on the beach. Beautiful and picturesque with a fantastic chippy nearby, Memos. A well kept beach, walkway and panoramic across the sea especially around sunset being on the west side. Llandudno has two sides of beaches. This side, the west, has a long stretch of with dunes and pebbles. I was told it’s the largest here. It’s not developed like the main beach, no promenade or hotels or places to visit. There are just a couple cafes and a chip shop (closed bank holiday!). I last came here 10 years ago and recall it being a large and lovely sandy beach. We arrived today at 1pm and saw only pebbles 😂 however the tide was in (I’m not scientific enough to explain why it was in at this time and not when I came last time, at this time). Anyway, there were patches of sand and gradually the tide went out and behold! The sand! This is let down by lack of places to eat (the two cafes are expensive). But, then again, that’s its charm too. I’m going to head over to the main beach. The footpath is adorned with benches to sit, there are lots of places to sunbath between the dunes, in the sand but away from sea. Visited Llandudno and was recommended this as an alternative to the very popular East Shore. It was practically deserted, although wasn’t a I could imagine spending a day out at. It did look serene though, so nice if you’re not looking to build sandcastles All the times we've visited Llandudno, we've never found this little gem of sandy beach. Until this year, it really is idyllic. The are gorgeous, there is a padding pool, a cafe, toilets and a family pub across the road. If your wanting a beautiful sunset whilst in llandudno then westshore Is definitely the place to come. Long stretch to view from different angles with fantastic scenery spreading for miles. You won't be disappointed. This is a scenic stretch of with views. There are wheel chair accessible toilets and baby changing rooms. These toilets cost 30 pence but also operate the radar scheme here. There is a permanent outdoor fitness gym which i thought was a idea and was actually in use by young and older alike. Children's play area and lots of benches along the promenade. At the far end of the prom is a pay and display car park and adjacent to that is the beech with indoor and outdoor seating. And is popular. It is wheelchair accessible also. There is a miniature railway behind the cafe.Going away from the at the opposite end of the promenade is the orme. And parking is also allowed along the promenade at the roadside. Dogs are not allowed on the during the summer season. Brilliant beach,even on a hot sunny day it was quiet,our little dog loved it,the tide was out and being of limited mobility it was a bit too far to to the sea.Access was quite easy and parking was freely available. A day rounded off by a raspberry milkshake in the 👌 This has to be the most relaxing beaches I’ve visited. Ok, maybe nothing compared to Spain or even Bamburgh, but to us it’s idyllic, I could sit there all day watching the waves roll in. It’s relaxing, charming and picturesque. It’s the first place we come to when we visit Llandudno, a beautiful place in itself. The beaches are spotlessly clean and certainly don’t smell like one reviewer has said, have they never seen seaweed before. I’m amazed with this place and always will. It’s beautiful. A nice well kept sandy beach. If you want to spend time on the by the sea then this is probably the better of Llandudno to visit as it is sandy. As a foreigner living in Chester, this is the best place I have found so far within a 1h range. Lovely and views. Perfect spot to see the sunset. Llandudno offers short hikking routes for stretching your legs and have a small taste of nature. Clean spaces everywhere and wonderful locals The water stinks and it is dirty. Maybe as it is dog friendly or don't know the reason. Seagulls don't let you eat but the scenery and view is beautiful. Sandy and kids friendbut not clean I would say as the smell is unbearable. What a find this was, so quaint, tranquil and picturesque. We walked through Haufre Gardens to find this beauty. The colour of the sea was just like being abroad, luckily we had beautiful hot weather too. Clean and tidy too.
