Very good pizza! 🍕 We've visited this pizzeria twice (once for take-away and once to eat there). If you want to taste some new, not traditional flavours, that's a good place for you! Pizzas were tasty, but what I paerticularly liked were "crocche". We've eaten a basic one, with pistachio and with salmon - all were great! Looking amazing, not falling apart but tender at the same time. Crocches' taste was multi-layered and interesting, lovely experience! Great place. Our waitress was excellent, we don't speak italian and she explained everything beautifully. Me and my family been in paestum for Tre days, from the reviews and the menu items we though it may be in the top 2 or 3 of the town. We decided to order food and eat it at home just 5 minutes away. Was a very anticlimactic night, at 8.30pm the restaurant was almost deserted, just a couple of table, not that we cared. after the order I saw on the receipt I was the third customer of the night, price on Google were not updated so many items on menu were a little bit more pricey. Food was ready In a right amount of time, the smell from the box were really good. At home our expectations were not meet, the potatoes crocchette, usually are crunchy on the outside and Soft inside, this one was probably made in oven, it was just all soft the exteriors and inside were basically the same thing, no game of texture, we also bought one with pistachio, but it was just a pistachio sauce on top, the inside of the crocchetta was the same as the plain one, but it was 50% more expencive, they were tasteless. That was not the main issue, the biggest of all problem was the pizza, undercooked, bottom was still a bit white, soggy and soft, they were making Napoli style pizza, so some feature were unavoidable.......until.... I lost a entire night with my stomach feeling heavy, exploding, thirsty, drinking a entire bottle of water. I slept a couple of hour that night. I don't know if it's always like this or if they chef sick or day off so the assistant step up to cover the shift, but I am sure will not go there again. Nothing to say or complain about the Staff, they where kind. We stumbled upon Vatillum Pizzeria by chance, as Google reviews were unavailable. It seems to be either a new pizzeria or a renovated one. Surprisingly, the pizzas were superb, and even the crust was very tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. One of the few local places open in late October. We appreciated the complimentary drink and snacks. Ordered food was delivered promptly and excellent on all counts. Only gripe was the music wasn’t to our taste, but in that regard, the world has passed us by.
