The worst, saddest pizza we ever ate, as the restaurant next door we wanted to go was unfortunately closed that day. Definitely not fresh dough. Unappealing, unwelcoming place, the floor was sticky as we walked in. Save yourself a bad experience, just go next door to Laura! Excellent meal and exceeded expectations. Pizza and drinks are great value, they even bought in some Sprite especially when they didn’t have any. Extra dishes, tasty pizza and proper Lemonchello on the house to finish, nothing was too much trouble. If you are in the area, give them a try and you will leave with a smile on your face! Host Enzo was fantastic. We went in with the intention of ordering a pizza and salad. Our order wasn’t taken and the menus removed. The owner then served us with whatever he wanted (we did explain we’re veggie). We were served 3 courses we didn’t order but was a fantastic experience in a Faulty Towers style. Inc wine the bill only came to €65. A “theme” restaurant like this would work great in London ! We had two lovely meals here. The pizzas are delicious and great value for money. The staff is very friendly and gave us some free delicious antipasti while we waited which was so kind. They were very welcoming with our children and gave them pens to draw with directly on the table cloth. Definitely highly recommended! So nice and lovingly people & the food is fantastic!!! It was a mix of tourists and locals which I always think is a good sign. I am honestly mystified by the bad reviews. This is a local cosy trattoria not fine high end dining so my expectations were exceeded. We went to the hotel Ariston opposite the night before and despite their marble gold interiors and staff in tuxedos the food was mediocre with hopeless service. We much preferred this place with yes plastic chairs and paper tablecloths but genuine Italian hospitality and good fresh food. Amazing home cooking, the owner is super friendly. Simple location but top class cuisine and fresh ingredients. Pizza to die for. Don't miss it if you come to this area! This is the only negative review I've ever written. The pizza was good, but the squid in the fried seafood recommended by the owner was incredibly smelling, I tried a bite, and the foul smell of squid melted in my mouth, it was just so disgusting….. And besides of this the owner also trying to scam us by charge for one extra dish. Amazing meal, delicious and well priced. Pizza was lovely, Would definitely recommend!
