I have been at symposium a couple of times. The food was always excellent and VERY generous portions,and staff very nice. We had a seafood antipasto, which was very generous, enough for 2 pp,and a scialatiellio allo scoglio,also huge. The place is minutes away from the Paestum archeological site. We were able to enter with our dog, in the tables outside.Will go back there again. Food was good, service was really slow. 1 x pasta , 1 x grilled squid + mix salad + 1 large bottle of water cost about Euro40+ It is a nice place and staff were accommodating. Food tasted good and the fresh fish really tasty. Their deserts were the low point of it all. A pity. They offered me a free espresso, which was kind. However, I found the prices relatively higher, especially comparing to alternatives around. Parking is somehow inconspicuously hidden 30 m around the corner, with a little visible entrance between the trees. But it is large and right next to a nice clean stream, which you cross on a bridge to enter the restaurant. Nice location, friendly stuff Food can be improved... Perfect, went to fetch some Pizza for take away. Right after they re-opened at 18:00 - it took few minimal as the wood fire in the oven just started. Had a cold and fresh beer while waiting. The pizza were wonderful - even after 2km on the bicycle still hot and super tasty. Prices were very reasonable, 5 EUR for Margarita, 6 EUR for Diavola and 10 EUR for the one with Parma Bma, Ricola and fresh mozzarella. We were starving after our visit to the ruins and couldn’t wait to look up reviews like we normally do. I wish we had 😓. While the serving staff was friendly, that only takes you so far. The food was terrible; we’ve traveled all over Italy and never had such awful tasting food. One of our group member’s meals didn’t even come out until the rest of us had finished eating and we were ready to leave. They did take that meal off the bill, at least. Definitely not worth the cost. Wanted to order dinner and desert, stood and waited patiently while 6 staff ignored me and finally got seated at the very back by the toilets because solo traveler. Given a glass of wine and otherwise ignored for the remainder of my time there despite trying to order food. Lovely spot and interior, but terrible service. Can't say I got to try the food Good food and kind staff This is the first time I give a bad review to a store! There weren't many customers here and the service was very very very slow! It took half an hour to prepare just one piece of bread, and then I waited for a piece of pasta in the next hour! Then I still waited for 20 minutes when paying! Very very very very poor dining experience! The waiter heard my call and didn't give any feedback quickly! All in all very very very bad! And very unpalatable! The price is still very expensive!
