Awesome views! Medium difficulty hike up, we parked on the smoother North face , took us about 1.5 hours to the top. OUTSTANDING mountain! Love it! It was quite of a trek though as it was around 800 of a height difference so it took 3hours of a red (quite difficult) walk to get there but it was so worth it. Take a jacket as it was 25 degrees on the car park and 15 on the hill with super strong wind. Great for hiking, good views There are a few hiking trails to walk but most of the coloured walks take you to climbing routes so be careful. The views from the top make the effort worth while and the monastery us a nice visit and ask about the history. The ridge traverse is well worth the walk The way marked paths are great to follow and do make it easy to navigate. Beautiful place to hike to! This place offers shade and a toilet. No drinking water available! Hard to believe someone built this all the way up!!! I went with my two girls and took us quite some time! During the week you won't see many people as most will come during Sunday or Thursday. That is when they open museum and chapel 💒 A great hike path! I find the south side the most beautiful one although the north side is less steep and more accessible from Aix en Provence. Many different paths available but the main ones to go to the cross should take only a few hours although terrain can be rough. While the cross on the western side is the most iconic and touristic point, the pic des mouches, on the eastern side, is actually its highest point and also a good walk.
