Been here a number of time's watching Wigan in cups etc. We found the locals very accommodating but as for the stadium least said. On one occasion I have to say it was the coldest I have ever been -5 during the game and snow all round the stadium. Very good experience the crowd were fair and clapped both sides! I struggled as I have had pneumonia and a young steward approached me to see if I was okay and then again at halftime which made me feel better congratulations my experience heart warming as he was a young man and I am in my seventies well done 😁👍 Love the old place but definitely needs updating. Bring on a new stadium The toilets are disgusting, especially the disabled one. Also everyone in the disabled bay can't see anything, this is due to the double netting on the fence. The green was bad enough, but the blue is even worse. It's worse than trying to watch Speedway through a thick net curtain. No wonder fans aren't turning up!!! Always cold. Bring a coat. Excellent stadium Regular visitor for Workington Comets Speedway, like many facilities of this sort of vintage the buildings are showing their age, however all of the amenities work and are clean apart from Speedway there is a yearly music festival held in the car park called Reboot. For Speedway or music its worth a visit. Had a lovely time at Derwent Park. The staff were fantastic, the pitch good and the atmosphere great. Afterwards I drove 2 miles and photographed Scotland just across the bay. We follow the Town Ladies Team who have amazing to watch and who have inspired my daughter to play rugby. Great atmosphere, very welcoming to all supporters home and away and looking forward to our next visit. Food and drinks well pryced, good club shop and all the players, staff, volunteers and people associated with this club are second to none. One of the best speedway race tracks in the UK. The racing is fast, the narrow straights and big banking are a treat for the spectators. If your a speedway follower, be sure to check this track out. Food was undercooked at the cafe though It's OK, and that's it. Need a bigger bar! Spent most of day queing to get a beer.
