Lovely in the middle of Workington that is well maintained by the town council. There's a very nice kids play area, newly refurbished tennis courts and plenty of paths for a walk and flower beds displaying some really beautiful flowers. There are several interesting monuments in the and works of public art. Parking is free and is easy, the is surrounded by a disk controlled parking zone. Disks can be got from retailers in the town or from the council. Nice place in workington for family and couples. The only good thing is its free to access. Frequented by some very strange people who are under the influence of some strange substances. Not to mention nasty opinionated dog owners, with leads 20 yards wrong. Who assume wrongly everyone likes dogs Lovely nice place for the kids and dog Such a lovely to stroll around or sit quietly in the sun ☀. There is a play area for children and it looks very clean as does the rest of the park. I chose to take a rest here after my lunch with friends I made that go to age UK, especially now that we have glorious sunny days. It's a lovely place to visit after going around the shops which are very close by and so is the bus station to which I use to travel back home after a day of fresh air. I didn't spot any toilets but then again I wasn't looking for one but I will update if I find out that they do and if not then this should be addressed immediately as it would be handy to have it's own facilities. I will be coming here more often now that it's getting better weather, why not find out for yourself if you ever pass through Workington. Nice little On a scorching hot day and there are plenty of trees to sit under for some shade. Lovely green with play area and outdoor gym equipment. Nice and clean and when we visited it wasn’t too busy. We will likely visit again when we are in the area. Our 2nd day of holiday and we decided to go to Workington, Vulcan had good reviews, and it lived up to the reviews. Its a lovely little park, that the 5 of us enjoyed - 2 children, 2 adults and a mobility impaired pensioner. Which shows that it is pleasant for all ages. Lovely little place to walk the dog, plenty of grass to play on and a for children. Also has a little outside gym, haven't been on but seen people use it.
