Beautiful building can't miss it really. Staff are so helpful. Great selection of maps and guide books and all you can need for a hike or walk. Visited on 3 occasions and every time the staff were extremely helpful and informative. They took great lengths to explain the best options for where we wanted to visit,ie the best places to visit on the boat trip around derwentwater We visited Keswick today and absolutely loved it! Nestled in the Lake District, this charming town offers stunning natural views – but what really stood out to me was the architecture. Many of the houses looked like something out of a fairy tale – beautiful stone cottages with slate roofs and whimsical charm. At times, it felt like walking through a storybook village. The whole place has such a cosy and magical atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you’re into nature, cute towns, and dreaming of cottage life! #Keswick #LakeDistrict #FairyTaleVibes #HiddenGemsUK Keswick is a beautiful place in the lakes. My kids loved it. Staff were friendly and helpful. We took a picnic and enjoyed walking and taking in the views. Would 100% recommend. My kids loved doing their get in to the lake Lovely staff, gave us loads of suggestions of things to do - in the end we hiked up Cat bells, and it was a blast. The lady in there was nice, but almost robbed us of the best views of our hike on top of Walla Crag. She judged our shoes and told us we didn't have time or trainers for the hike. 100% not true, we did it anyway and it was amazing. Couldn't stay out of this place 😆. Got great information regarding buses on the first day (wanted to avoid using the car at all - complete success). Found out if once we'd enquired about the boat trip that if you booked here you got a £1.50 discount per person. Also ended up going back in and buying binoculars, which one of the chaps had plenty of knowledge about & even went back yet another day to buy some magnets & a book. Everyone we encountered each time was friendly and very helpful and even asked how our trips had been. Definitely worth a visit if you need any sort of local information about the area Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Anyone not familiar with the area should call in when visiting.
