Recent experience at your Living Centre After a GP consultation for liver problems, I was advised to have urgent blood tests. During the appointment, the member attempted to take my blood but was unsuccessful after pricking both arms. When I asked her to try again, she refused and rescheduled me almost a week later at School Lane. I explained that the test was urgent due to liver pain, but my concerns were not taken into consideration. I would appreciate this matter being reviewed. Thank you! I was at this practice for years but it's gone down hill over the last 2. I was refused blood tests for an issue I was experiencing for 18 months which the surgery was well aware of, and getting an was nearly impossible so was forced to go private. Getting any sort of response or with a nurse for travel injections was terrible and I tried on 2 different occasions. The only benefits are that the receptionists are kind and there is a pharmacy on site. Poor attitude from receptionist tutting all the time when I am trying to explain what’s wrong. Felt like they didn’t care about my situation. Was told to call doctors when I got back from where I have been and I get the can’t help you Had the best experience at School Lane Surgery today. I got a call straight after submitting my request on their website, which is so easy to use! And an that was convenient for me! Lovely staff! Thank you :) Really quick and efficient process. Completed an online form to request an at 0830. Doctor called me at 1000 and sent me a link to book a blood test. Lots of blood test appointments available at the Thetford Healthy Living Centre, seen an hour later by a professional phlebotomist. Great service, quick and well organised. The worst medical institution I have ever experienced in my life. Treatment is based on statistics, not symptoms. I have been living with strong headaches and ringing in my head for over two years. They sent me for a hearing test and of course they found nothing. They tell me that according to statistics it is tinnitus. So I live with headaches every day, and I don't know how long I have left to live. A few years ago I had the same experience with stomach pain( inflammation of the stomach lining). They tested me for kidney stones because they said it was according to statistics. It took me two weeks of improper treatment in the hospital. My husband and son had a very unpleasant experience today with staff. We moved house and I already requested to change your new address in the beginning of October. As surgery requested we done it online. Unfortunately, only my address were changed and not for any of other members of my family. So, yesterday I visited School Line surgery in person with my older son, and lady in the (surprisingly nice and competent), without any issues change address for him on the desk and advice us ask my husband and other son, who is over 16, so need to give a consent , to come or call next day and desk will do the same for them. Today they come and they've been told that is not possible and they have to do it on-line. We can't trust on-line service, as it failed already. Ladies on the receptions were not nice and rude, even if my husband explained them that we are waiting for some important letters from NHS regarding upcoming hospitals appointments and results. One letter with cancellation of we already didn't receive and travel for nothing. I don't understand why one day you can sort out your problems with nice atmosphere, and another nothing is not possible with staff. There are clearly two different standards or discrepancy with training staff. That is not first time when some of is very unhelpful, not welcoming and you have a feeling that you are disturbing them. Someone should remind them that they are there for the patients, not the other way around, and they should treat with respect. Nurses, GP and Doctors are very good and always very helpful, just the desk is the weakest link. No way to get the same day with doctor. Calling at 8.30 and already 50 in front every time. Onliest answer is full capacity and we can’t accept patients. Don’t even check details are they vulnerable are day children. Full capacity try next day. Or other answer get advice from 111. Then for what we have GP surgery? If planning to be ill book already in advance and even then you don’t know if you will get appointment. Even when telling them that you are not happy they don’t care. If you are unhappy you can change surgery. Sorting by nationality.
