They were super busy and then started serving people who arrived after us who had reservations. My suggestion for the management would be to acknowledge people more and let them know there will be a wait (40 minutes to get a menu shown) and that they have other guests that are reserved. Great bar, lovely local Ratz bieres. Friendly staff. Parked up for night in motorhome opposite restaurant. Ate fabulous meal including foix gras, seared tuna, perfectly cooked lamb with artichoke purée and delicious jus. Unpretentious and extremely popular with locals on a Saturday evening. You would easily pass this by without realising you were passing one of France's best kept secrets. Spent the last few weeks on holidays near here and would pop down here most mornings for a coffee and a read. The 2 ladies working there never seemed to be off - from early morning to late at night I would see them and they were superb. My French isn't great and their English is limited but they couldn't have been nicer, more welcoming or excellent at their jobs. And then there was the food......lunch or dinner the standard was unbelievable. Dont let the external façade fool you, there are glitzy Michelin star restaurants that couldn't compete with what was being produced here on a daily basis.
