The elegant building also houses an old timber panelled library (open sometimes to visit) and is well located near the old town, shops and Amphitheatre car park (with Roman ruins inside!) This is a lovely town, in the loop of the river Lot, to walk around. There is lots to do and see with lovely shops and cobbled streets. A visit to the Pont Valentre and the cathederal is a must and in nice weather a view over the city from the view point on the nearby hill is a bonus. This town is motorhome friendly with a free car park just on the outskirts on the outside of the river 10 mins walk into the town. Highly recommend. Very helpful. Look out for the old bridge. Go see the cathedral with old and much newer stained glass windows, and a less than obvious cloister.
