Don't compare it to your average tourist cave visit and if this is your thing, I would highly recommend it! I took my two children (14 and 12) to do this and they absolutely loved it. They’d both done quite a bit of indoor climbing before so were comfortable with the kit and heights. It would be much harder on a very hot day as it’s quite exposed. The guide was excellent and very clear, calm, and encouraging. We did the 22km "parcours" along the Célé ... 2 double kayaks and 1 simple kayak. The Kalapca folks were efficient and professional. All instructions were clear and the material was in good condition. It took us a total of a little less than 6 hours (with a big pause for lunch and a leisurely speed the last 4 km). The Célé valley is GORGEOUS, and the views from the river are really the best! The water was a bit shallow in spots and we had to walk the kayak about a meter once along the route. We hope there is a bit of rain in the near future! We had a great day ... the weather was perfect. It was a needed break with family out of our busy schedule. Really enjoyed our experience. We went yesterday to take rock climbing class. We were fortunate to get Guillaume as an instructor. There were all levels of experience and he took each one of us and made sure that we were confident and competent enough for some serious rock climbing courses.
