Carmarthen Showground

Carmarthen, United Kingdom Event venue

One of the Best Places To Visits in Llangain Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. £100 per Caravan or Motorhome we all paid to camp on the show ground. Grass was awful. Not been cut in weeks. Nowhere to empty caravan toilets..the portable toilets had no wash facilities and not a single bin in site. Whoever organised the camping field should really try and get a different job. You should see the looks of people's faces when they find out the water tap is 2 fields away Good venue but was way too expensive (no need for it). Visited for the balloon festival (no balloons took off due to the weather). Couldn't take soft drinks in (due to security) but you could purchase soft drinks inside (at £4 for a bottle of Pepsi). Most food options were £8 to £12 for a small portion. For a family of 4, it would be around £80 just for food and drinks. We paid £64 entrance fee too!! Went to the balloon festival and was stuck in 4 hrs of traffic. I'm not sure if this is a regular occurrence whenever there is an event on or down to poor organisation from the event managers of the balloon festival. The grass was super long needed to be cut, and it was very bumpy to navigate parking. We were lucky to get there in time to see the balloons take flight. Will not be going back to this event next year! The first ever Wales hot air balloon festival took place here on 28th-30th June 2024. The balloon flights & festival itself was the talk of the town the whole weekend with mixed reviews but the word was that the whole thing was very delayed, some even cancelled and demanded refunds. The whole event was weather dependant and as it was cloudy with light showers the assumption was the balloons will not fly but very much to our surprise, as we drove on the m4 to get into town for some food, we see bubble silhouettes in the sky and before we knew it there they were... Multiple hot air balloons flew in from nowhere gathering together creating such a mesmerising view every time we looked up! So although we didn't stay long, our purpose to visit Wales was indeed fulfilled. Apart from the balloons, there was live music with an amazing line up of artists, food stalls, activities & games, etc. The tickets were over priced for what people expected but did not get. That is why I always recommend that you read the information provided by event management teams carefully and properly understand what you're in for. Experience wise though - best experience ever of actually just sitting back and taking in the view. Had a great afternoon! Nice show alot to do. Well thought out. Love united showgrounds they hold great shows all year round and are always friendly .. the night owl car boots are especially great Awesome day out with family for celtic truck show Show fine. Place fine. Prices for things, absolute joke! Parking, ok but you park basically in a field with no walk ways. Toilets are absolutely disgusting!!!! You would think you're in a zoo enclosure! Vile. Wouldn't go again because of that and stupid pricing.
