Lovely meal, friendly attentive staff, great ales. We ate here on our first night in wales. The place was clean, tidy, attended by locals (judging by the liberal use of the welsh language) and very welcoming. The food was hot, tasty and generously portioned. Quite frankly couldn't think of a better way to start the holiday and it is well worth stopping here. We were having such a good time I forgot to take photos! We went to the Forester’s tonight for an evening meal, having never been there before we had no idea of the experience we were to have. We had one hunters chicken and one beef and mushroom pie. Both dishes were served quickly and were very good looking, on eating them we found them even more delicious than we hoped for. I had the pie and found it absolutely delicious, from the gravy via the meat to the pastry I could nor have wished for a more tasty meal. If there was any problem it was the size of the meal, it was huge, so much that I could not finish all the potatoes. The were very good from the moment we arrived through to us leaving. The proprietor should be very proud of his kitchen and bar staff. Had a beautiful meal today 19/09/25.first time here definitely won't be our last. Little run out from New quay but we'll worth it. Was highly recommend. Meal was 10/10 lovely lad behind bar. Had the amazing pie of the day And it definitely didn't disappoint me. The level of care and attentiveness I received was incredible! The food was fab! The pub is so cute and has a homely, friendly feel to it whilst being really country modern. Me and my family had a wonderful time and will 100% return when we go to Wales on another trip. Thank you for being amazing! Came as recommended from the visitors book on our pod stay. Will definitely come back when visiting the area next. We had Sunday lunch at the Forest Arms in Brechfa today (21/09/2025) and it was absolutely brilliant. The location is stunning, and the interior was spotless. We were greeted warmly at the door, and the were friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive – 5-star service all the way! The food was outstanding. I had the beef, my partner had the chicken, and our daughter had the children’s chicken Sunday lunch. Everything was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The portions were generous, and they even gave us a box for our daughter’s leftovers, which was such a nice touch. Honestly, it was the best Sunday lunch I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend the Forest Arms – we’ll definitely be back!
