Lovely Easter Sunday with the dog. Haven't been here in ages and was still lovely. Loads of people walking their dogs and so lovely to see the new little lambs. Coffee shop for end of too. Spacious, airy next to the lower Lliw reservoir. Swift service, tasty cheese on toast, served with a pot of Branston pickle & good strong coffee. Plenty of menu choices. Small gift shop within the cafe. Plenty of seating inside with some outside. Dogs not permitted indoors, but a takeaway service is available (including ice-cream for canines). Toilets to the side of the cafe. A fab place! Great for kids and adults alike. Dogs should be kept on leads due to grazing sheep although we didnt see any on our walk. It's a fair way to the upper reservoir for kids but it's possible and a road the whole way. With this in mind keep an eye out for cars although they tend to go slowly knowing there will be walkers and we only saw a couple. Food in the is nice too! Fab food and drinks with a friendly atmosphere as well as decent prices. Excellent breakfast..!! Cosy cafe, nice staff and relaxed atmosphere. Lovely little shop with local gifts. Parking charges apply. We called in for a lovely day out and a bite to eat. In all fairness the day out was fantastic, the parking charges along with the extremely expensive bacon sandwich was a fairly large blot on the day to say the least! You can't charge a premium to park, and charge a premium for the food too! such a shame, and we won't be rushing back any time soon sorry. Great place for a lovely walk. Long sections of path are wheelchair and pushchair accessible. Other paths nearer waters edge narrower and more challenging. Toilets available in car park next to cafe. Never been here before but I'd love to come again. The around the lake was beautiful even if a bit blustery and cold. But that gave me a good excuse to pop into the for a massive cooked breakfast that I couldn't finish. Lovely food and quick service even though it was busy, nice friendly staff Beautiful place. Visited both during rain and shine. The Autumn colours are spectacular. Loop of the lower reservoir is approx 2 miles but feels much longer with a toddler in tow! The woodland path is gradually being surfaced with gravel which has removed the majority of trip hazards from tree roots. It is advisable to keep an eye on small children as the path runs close to the water's edge in places. Nice serving hot food, coffee, cake and ice cream as a reward afterwards. A £2.50 parking charge has recently been introduced, contributes towards upkeep. Lovely cafe, friendly and helpful staff, serve nice food Lovely little cafe, great play area, great views! What a gem of a in a great location, great food good prices ,a lovely log burner and two great ladies running it. Went for a around the lakes came back but left lights on van battery flat . Ladies in didn't hesitate to help phoned a relative who came and started it for us couldn't thank them enough fantastic service very kind.
