Alright, let’s talk about Beskidówka in Lubień. This place—it’s like stepping into an old-school Polish tavern, where time has stood still and the food is the main event. No gimmicks, no trendy fusion nonsense, just pure, classic Polish cuisine that hits you right in the taste buds. You walk in, and it’s like your grandmother’s kitchen, if your grandmother was a culinary genius. First off, the kwaśnica. Now, if you’ve never had this soup, let me tell you—it’s not just soup, it’s a meal in a bowl. The thing is packed with meat, and the flavor is so rich it could probably pay your rent. It’s the kind of soup that makes you realize why Polish food is comfort food. You’ll leave feeling like you've been wrapped in a blanket made of cabbage and smoked sausage, which, let’s be honest, is the dream. The staff? Lovely. Warm, friendly, and efficient—like they actually enjoy what they do, which, let’s face it, is rare these days. They make sure you’re fed, happy, and ready for more. And the pierogi—don’t even get me started. These are not your supermarket variety dumplings. These are homemade beauties, stuffed with local ingredients, each one a little pocket of heaven. You can tell they’ve been made with love and, probably, a lot of butter. So yeah, Beskidówka is a winner. I’ll definitely be back for that kwaśnica—it’s not every day you find a soup that can take on a main course and win. Full of meat, full of flavor, and full of reasons for me to return whenever I’m around! grandma-style food, large portions, quick service and reasonable prices(19PLN for pork schnitzel with side dishes). Highly recommend on way to/from Zakopane. Pasibrzuch is very well recommended, super with garlic butter. I rarely have the occasion to write a negative review, but this time I have to. The “Beskidówka” located in Lubień disappointed me greatly today. I’ll start with the sticky tables – the staff claims it’s due to the type of paint used, but how can a table be sticky to the touch? That clearly needs fixing. Condiments on the tables included some leftover salad elements and sauce... Despite our request, they were neither replaced nor cleaned up. The borscht – tasteless, lacking acidity and any seasoning. The potato pancakes – burnt on the outside, raw on the inside, dripping with oil. Large chunks of onion inside (not chopped or grated). Kids’ menu – greasy fries, nuggets burnt on the outside. I haven’t seen a child refuse to eat their meal in a long time… Grilled chicken – I specifically asked for it without mushrooms, yet it came with mushrooms and some greasy sauce. Buckwheat is listed on the menu but wasn't available. As for the rice... I won’t even bother. We left without ordering dessert or coffee. Now our stomachs hurt – not to mention the rest. I knew this place under the previous owner and didn’t recommend it. I thought that after the renovation and name change, things would improve. Unfortunately, it’s still poor. The only redeeming factor is the pricing. It’s not expensive, but I’d rather pay more and not worry about my stomach after eating. Surprisingly food, many elegant, modern looking restaurants have not only much expensive menu, but way-way worse dishes. I am surprised in a very positive way. My lil' girl got a Mamba as a little gift after dinner in addition. Deserves the 5 star. Amazing place with food that could fit everyones needs. Portions are really huge even for an adult :) Nice small at the Highway. Very nice service. Food was good Great authentic polish food, huge portions. My absolute favorite restaurant. Beautiful setting. Love this restaurant. Can't wait to come for a visit to Poland and have lunch there. Bardzo dobra wątróbka. Polecił kolega, który parę razy odwiedził lokal i nie zawiodłem się. Była bardzo dobra. Very nice and cosy with great food. Pyszne jedzenie w przystępnej cenie. Bardzo miła obsługa. Polecam wstąpič na obiad i nie tylko. Large portions, food. Good price. Close to the main road. The disadvantage is that the waiters do not speak English. Bardzo szybka i miła obsługa. Polecam to miejsce Lokal dla amatorów i miłośników potraw z frytury... Tasty dumplings, big portions. Soups are ok, though not delicious. Cosy polish in the countryside, I recommend to have a pit-stop here on your way from Zakopane to Krakow. Smacznie dużo w miarę szybko ale gdzie się spieszyć takie porcje konsumuje się bez pośpiechu. Fantastic and great service! The Pirogi menu was amazing. Highly recommend Very tasty pizzas (pepperoni really spicy). Other food also delicious, big portions. Przepysznie! Polecam gorąco 🥰 Bardzo dobre jedzenie, duże porcje. Polecam Very well made food, delicious, great pierogi. Big menu to choose from. Also, a calm and shady place to sit outside and enjoy a slightly cool while refreshing wind during a hot summer. Bardzo smaczne jedzenie i bardzo miła obsługa polecam !!!!
