They do everything excellently. Really enjoyed the stay. were superb. Some of the outside heaters couldn't be switched on and my shoes were filthy from the dusty gravel in the outside area are only gripes. Highly recommended. Superb breakfast too with quality ingredients. The Museum Inn is a real gem. From the moment we arrived it was a cheerful and efficient environment. Check in was straight forward and our room was beautiful. Clean and cosy well decorated with all the extra little touches which make a stay a pleasure. The evening meal was cooked very well and flavour to it. was very good. A nice, peaceful beer garden, obviously used by the local farming community which was lovely to see. Cheerful Amanda welcomed us down for breakfast and was extremely efficient. A very nice start to the day, not just food but a atmosphere. The area is exceptional for walking and seeing the countryside. had a walk on the way to the Museum Inn and then another lovely stroll in the countryside after dinner, taking in the fields the local church and views across the surrounding area. Highly recommended from our point of view. From our arrival the could not have been more pleasant. My wife and I arrived on our motorcycles and were told that we could park them right outside our room, most motorcyclists are fussy when it comes to parking 😉. Our room was excellent and with the warm weather we had been experiencing it was a nice surprise to find a fan blowing cool air. We unloaded the bikes and went to the bar for a couple of very tasty pints of Butcombe Original before dinner. I chose the burger and my wife had trout, both were delicious as was our full English breakfast the following morning. We would definitely stay again if ever we were passing. Thank you Museum Inn and your for making our stay pleasant. The Museum Inn is a real countryside treasure. Warm, welcoming, and beautifully styled — the perfect mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. Dinner was outstanding, with fresh, seasonal ingredients and real attention to detail. The was relaxed yet attentive, and the atmosphere made it feel like a proper escape. An idyllic spot — I’ll definitely be back. We hadn’t been to The Museum for a couple of years but decided to cycle there the late August Bank holiday Monday lunchtime. Well, I think the pub is back to its very best again. We had really excellent food (hats off to the chief for the chicken risotto special and prawn and cray fish salad which I then followed by an affogato). The was wonderfully attentive and the beer spot on. It was a genuinely lovely lunchtime and we’ve already planned our return. Lovely traditional English pub located in a pretty & peaceful village. My wife and I enjoyed one of the best Sunday roast dinners we have ever had. Compliments to the chefs. Very friendly, helpful with attentive and also dog friendly. Pubs that are going to prosper need to provide better food than you can cook at home & offer in a pleasant ambiance and atmosphere. Definitely listed in our ‘local’ pub selection. Long term Bournemouth residents. First visit to The Museum Inn. Midweek lunch was excellent. Very comfortable surroundings and choice on the menu. Much better than your average pub food in all respects. Food and both excellent. Will definitely return. Lovely pub in a wonderful and quiet setting. Very and helpful staff. Quality local beers and food was very good. Had to check out before breakfast started so they made me a packed lunch the night before to take with me, what a nice touch. Rooms very comfortable and lovely home made cookies. First time staying but will return on my next visit to the area. A lovely pub & hotel, exceptional and great food and drink selection. The setting is a quintessential English village, beautiful thatched cottages, quiet country roads and a village pub - there are no shops, no take away outlets, yes it’s remote, yes it’s quiet but it’s a great base to explore the surrounding countryside and coast. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped, you wouldn’t think this is a pub with rooms, it’s the equivalent of a boutique hotel. There are 8 rooms and a beautiful cottage next door (8 rooms) for larger groups/families. There is a great selection of food and it’s well presented and reasonably priced, we enjoyed great attentive service. The room rates are very reasonable, you may struggle to find better rates in the middle of summer, and I know as we tried! We travelled with our dog and were made to feel welcome throughout the premises. The are the real stars, bar, kitchen, waiting, cleaning and management - all made our stay thoroughly enjoyable - bravo 👏 Perfect location for our weekend celebration. Welcomed by Amanda, who was super helpful and welcoming. All the at the Museum Inn were very friendly. Great from Melanie on Saturday night too. Moles Cottage itself was fully equipped for our party of 13. Only point to review would be an update on outside furniture (tables & chairs) as all were well worn. Thank you also for early entry that was very kind.
