Despite you can find people with flip-flop and crocs, guide should tell that it’s not really for everyone considering there are few points with the rope to climb. We were with dog and 9y old kid and it was a bit borderline. Guides should also inform that after rain it’s very muddy and slippery as well on the rocks. Not really for everyone. Easy with really great views. You will be left in awe 360°. No clearing on our way up but it started showing on our descent. And we were even lucky enough to see a rainbow along the way. Recommended for hikers of all levels. 😁 To tell you , if you want to go for a hiking be sure that you wear comfy clothes and shoes . And also just if you bring stuff be sure that you have your back pack on and your things in there its not advisable to carry things on hand . For us it only took 4 and half hour back in fort it depends on yours if you stop for rest and take photos :) Travel , just few hours if youre from cavite there a lot of bus going to Nasugbu batangas and hop out , Batulao and take a tricycle from there to starting point . Prepare for the heat when you climb during summer time. I recommend to start early. There are "Kubos" along the way where you can buy water. Bring your own if you're in a tight budget. Bring snacks. Guide is required so coordinate beforehand. They were very responsive and accommodating. The has 360 degree view. Recommended for beginners. Don't forget to bring down your trash with you on your way back. Enjoy the nature! First trekking ⛰️ Reaching peak was like new achievement unlocked. “It’s not how many miles you walk, it’s how many smiles you share” - Unknown I recommend to get a tour guide. Worth the climb. 3hrs trek from brgy. Patugo Balayan. You can check our vlog ⛰️🏔️ Climbed this several times already. Can be climbed solo. Paths are well established. Just be ready for scorching heat during a clear sunny day as there are not much trees to provide cover during breaks. We had a fantastic on Mt. Batualo last August 21, 2023! This is a must-visit for beginners. The scenic views and beautiful range made the unforgettable. Highly recommended for those looking to start their hiking journey. The was quite easy but still because the was muddy and slippery at some parts due to the rain. However, I can say Mt. Batulao is truly perfect for beginners who want to take a breather and hiking. They have guides who are friendly and very helpful. They also take really good pictures! As we ascended, we passed by several stores selling food/water. There's also one located at the itself. Overall, my to Mt. Batulao was really fun. The was really nice and calming. I will definitely recommend it to others. Mt. Batulao is a great choice for beginners — the is easy to follow and not too steep, making it a comfortable yet enjoyable hike. The views along the way are beautiful, with rolling hills and open landscapes that make every stop picture-worthy. What makes it even better is after reaching the summit, you can enjoy a cup of noodles or other snacks sold by the locals while taking in the view. Simple joys like that make the even more memorable. Mt. Batulao is a beautiful with and a very beautiful up on the summit. The is a one depending on which you would take. New alone is quite challenging, but deserves its 4/9 difficulty rating. A couple of steep rope sections that would test your skills and knowledge. Old is a bit longer and also with some rope sections and 60° wall which you can navigate by rope or by rock crawling. If you do a new-old traverse, I would say the difficulty would be bumped to 4.5/9. Still beginner friendly but preparation should be done. Both have parts where both your left and right would be a cliff. Prepare yourself for quite a scare especially if you fear heights! The have multiple stops (up to the summit) where you can find store that would sell water, some other refreshments, and some food. The environment is very windy but very exposed to the sun, so bring sun protection and tighten your gear! The only thing I didn't like is that this is a very crowded to the point it causes a traffic especially near the summit. Getting people stuck there especially in parts of the that are narrow can be dangerous. More people would also mean more garbage and we have seen quite a number of trash in various parts of the trails. If you want to avoid the crowd, like with all other minor hikes — go for a weekday hike. For future hikers and visitors, please respect and practice LNT (Leave No Trace)! Mt. Batulao is located in Nasugbu, Batangas. Known for its easy and beautiful landscape, it is considered as one of the must-climb mountains in the country. There are 2 to choose from, the Old and the New Trail. 🦴 Mt. Batulao, minor climb, difficulty level 4/9, and it falls under class 3, assault angle 60-70 degrees. We tried Batulao as our year-end hike. It was rainy during that time, making the very slippery, so we were extra careful. But, we managed to for about 2 hours or less. It was a quick and cool hike, a 7.5/10. Boogshx🫑🫑 I hiked Mt. Batulao last May 29, 2022, and it was such a great experience! We started very early in the morning while the moon was still up, which made the feel calm and special. We got to the just as the sun was rising, hoping to see the sea of clouds, but sadly, the weather wasn’t clear enough (as you can see in the photo). Even though we missed that view, the itself was really enjoyable. The was super scenic, and the views along the way were amazing. However, it was a bit challenging. Some parts of the were narrow, with steep drops on the sides, so you really had to watch your step. There were also parts that were quite slanted, and you needed to hold onto ropes to climb up or down safely. Overall, I loved the and the whole hiking experience. The mix of the views and the adventure made it so worth it! But I don’t think this is for beginners. I’ve done a few easy before, and I still found this one pretty tough. If you’re looking for a and beautiful hike, I definitely recommend Mt. Batulao. Just come prepared and enjoy the journey! rating it with a "3/9" difficulty score. April 2025- hindi po required ang guide sa Mt. Batulao. Sasabihin lang ng local na required ito pero wag maniwala. The is easy to navigate and you won’t get lost. Been here a few times and did the trek on our own. Mejo madami ng basura, maging responsible sana lahat ng mga umaakyat. Lots of reviews here telling that there are multiple "toll gates" to which you have to pay but upon experiencing the myself this 2025... It looks like this has changed now. P700 for the guide + P150 for the toll/env. fee that you have to pay 1 only at the 1st camp. The guides are very helpful, most especially when trying to get to Batulao's points of interest. They will also ask if they could borrow your phone so that they could take a video or photo during some climbs. We visited very early on the weekend (4am) where foot traffic is a lot less so that we could take our taking photos of Mt. Batulao, perfect sunrise opportunity as well as being able to 75% in cool weather. It was a fantastic and very friendly for begginers too!
