It’s easy to locate and you’ll never get lost. It takes 45mins-1hr to get to the crater. Depends on how fast you can go. Bring water and mask is optional. Dust is manila is far worst🤣🤣 The trail is absolutely gorgeous and our was lovely. Our answered all questions, offered us breaks and took pictures of us on the trail! This is well-worth the hike, as you will see steam rising from the active volcano on your way up. The ground is actually hot towards the top! You can choose to a horse/donkey up or walk. We chose to walk and it was very worth it! Highly recommend this beautiful spot. Misleading description. This is not a walk or a trail. This is just a place where you park your car and have a look at the lake for 5 minutes. No places to go. Don't bother The climb may be is for beginners, but the is just perfect. And, for me, it was educational. I used to take pictures of the mountain that I thought was Mt. Taal but is not. Mt. Taal is more majestic and imposing. And if you're asking for the name of that other mountain, that's for you to discover. We used the services of Precious Boat Tours. The staff are very professional and accommodating. And they serve cold, fresh young coconut after the tour for free. Be prepared to get very wet in the boat going the 10km across the lake! Definitely hire a and to get to the top as it's a steep and rocky hike up and very dusty. They do give you a dust cover to wear. The from the top is good but once you've had a look around for 5-10min there's nothing else to do. I was a bit annoyed that I was asked to buy an overpriced framed photo of myself the moment I got on the pony at the bottom of the volcano by a very pushy local photographer who basically insinuated that I wasn't going anywhere until I coughed up the extra cash for the photo. I appreciate they need to make a living, it's just that I don't like the hard sell. Something to see once, glad I did it but that was enough for me. it was very hot and dusty It was an amazing and very unforgettable experience for us. We enjoyed the back riding. Our funny times with our jolly tour and men. And the most important was the nice view! 😍 (You can also do trekking if you want.) There are people who will take you some pictures and will sell you the copies afterwards. It ranges from 100-300php base on how you negotiate for the price hahahaa 😂. They're using poor quality paper that for a hundred pesos you'll say it's really expensive! You can just bring your own cameras or use your mobile phones for taking pictures. You can ask your tour or the horsemen to take you some nice shots! Any drink here is soooo expensive so don't forget to bring your own drinks before you cross the water and go up there. I would like to share some possible expenses for you here based on our experience.. —— Tricycle - 250php (going there and 500php going out so maybe you can negotiate about this because it's expensive 😂) Boat - 2,500php (but actually you can look for a cheaper one for 1,500 - 2,000php) Tour - 500php (it's a must to pay for a tour guide) Entrance Fee - 100php/pax Horse - 500php/horse (In case you will a make sure first how you will deal w/ your tour if it's either you can share in one or you'll rent one for him/her.) Other entrance fees - 50php/pax I hope this may help you guys. Enjoy your trip! 😊 No longer open! Totally worth the trip. But walk, don't those poor little ponies. Bring water and a snack, you'll need it!!! I went around the hole island yesterday late afternoon in a small boat it was really nice! All the birds was amazing for me as a birdwatcher, but would of been nice if we were allowed to land and spend sometime up there. Maybe next year.... Great experience and hike. It takes you approximately 45-60 minutes to the top, depending on the amount of picture stops. The trial is partially below the trees where it is cooler, in the parts without trees sun protection is needed (hat, cap, sunblock etc). The on the top is amazing and more than worth the hike. Water, coconuts and beers are offered at more than reasonable prices on such a touristic spot. One side note; at the panoramic not all sites are protected (for falling down), which makes it not suitable for kids. I loved it, espically the back ride. I walked Mt. Pinatubo last year, and was sapped by the time we got to the top. Taal was much, much easier tho, and I appreciated that. The is good and the back was pleasant also the boat ride.
