Rented 3 bikes on a sunny Sunday morning. Reasonable price for sturdy bikes. Locked the bikes and left the keys inside a locker while returning the bikes late in the evening as the shop closes half day on weekends. The lady working there was extremely professional, absolutely terrific. The mechanics were very helpful and always willing to fix small problems immediately with no wait. The person responsible for booking the rentals was unfortunately very rude and should really work on her customer service skills. I have been there several times and if I don’t have to deal with her, then the experience is positive. This is the reason for the five stars: I don’t think the hard work of the other employees should suffer because of one extremely rude employee! Great service, went above and beyond to assist. I had just completed an E-Bike tour with 17 friends totaling 406 km in five days. During that time my Gates drive belt lost tension and I did not have the tools to make the necessary adjustments. I had recently purchased the and although I had a set of tools with me that would work for my old bike, I could not make the adjustments on the new because the length of the hex wrench in the kit was too long align with the adjustment screw. I stopped at this repair shop (Fahrrad-Unger in Lindau) and after about 15 minutes of searching the repair man was able to fine in his bag of used tools a hex wrench with a short enough length to get a good fit into the hex nut. I have added the tool to my kit. Thanks for the outstanding service and assistance so close to quitting time. Retiree living in Germany Very rude employee/owner. We ask if anyone can help in English. The guy says angrily- it’s Germany, speak German..seriously? Well I don’t know what some of these people are complaining about .. maybe they have the problem!! Melanie helped us she was great ..direct, honest and very helpful .... the was really comfortable .. a great smooth ride .. no complaints from us 2 women from Australia (Do agree not that good about responding to emails! ) We rented a trekking and an e-bike from Fahrrad Unger. I emailed a month ahead to reserve them and got a speedy response confirming the reservation and price. Upon arrival staff were super helpful and helped us set up our panniers and explained the charging process for the e-bike. We had a great holiday cycling around the lake :) Thank you!!
