I love it The complex dates back to the 14th century, initially serving as a hospital. Over time, it evolved to include a church, orphanage, and a confraternity dedicated to the Annunciation. The complex has undergone various transformations and expansions throughout the centuries, reflecting different architectural styles to include elements of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture. The complex was damaged by earthquakes, most significantly in 1706. Great place to visit while in Sulmona! Quiet Church small and modest, interesting statue of Madonna and Child.
