Had the lamb as well and it was incredible This place had absolutely breath taking views, but the food was even better than the views (I’m not even sure how that is possible). Located in the quaint town of Anversa, this restaurant serves local delicacies. We had lunch with our family in the area and I genuinely thought they would have to roll me out of the restaurant. We tried what felt like the entire menu, which included a typical 5 course lunch. We stared with about 5 different meats, local cheeses, different breads, green beans, artichokes, and roasted peppers. Our first pasta dish was a spinach ricotta served in a red sauce and it was a personal highlight for me. Our next course was another pasta in a pesto sauce. Our meat course consisted of several meats including pork, steak and sausage, accompanied with potatoes and salads. And to finish, of course a mouthwatering tiramisu. This family owned restaurant sources local ingredients and it was evident as every bite was packed with flavor. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area, or even passing through I promise it will be worth it!! This place would be where i would order my last meal if i was on death row. Insanely delicious and authentic. I had the Lamb pasta special and it was the best one of the trip. Can't say enough good things about this place and these wonderful people. My glass was never empty, and my stomach instantly full. Bravo! A hidden gem just outside Villalago - stopped here for lunch after visiting Lago di scanno, fantastic service and food - all home made! DO NOT LISTEN TO THE OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT THE PASTA BEING TOO THICK.... this place will be the absolute BEST pasta and food you'll get on your trip! Everything is homemade and tastes incredible.
