Sat in there for over an hour with multiple children and every other table around us received their food before. After attempting to ask why, the waiter we had accused a family member of messing everything up by ordering an entrée, because APPARENTLY that makes sense, somehow? The only other time I ate there the food was mediocre at best. The chicken I had was slightly dry and the peanut sauce that came with it was a terrible flavor to add to the side. Added a star due to two things. 1. The view of the water is stellar. 2. The time a family member went with a friend, she said that the restaurant was quite nice and that she enjoyed it immensely. How she did is beyond me. Overall, mediocre restaurant. Not for large groups. I first enjoy the contact by phone to reserve a table, the person was really nice, funny and arranging. Then I was amazed by the food, that much that after the first dish, I order a “second first dish”.. so good.. the main dish was also delicious, and last but not least, I tasted 2 of their desserts that were astonishing! The service is well organised and customised. I ended the dinner with a degustation of a Britain whisky, well presented. The quality of the food and the creativity of menus are well chosen to make you travel for few hours. Thank you for this great experience! I recommend! We visited for the Sunday evening Madagasar night which was great fun. Food excellent and very friendly staff. My only criticism would be that the chef should warm the plates before serving - our food was not as hot as it should have been. But overall, worth a visit and good value for money Food isn’t interesting or fresh. Service is painfully slow. Only good thing is the view. Excellent restaurant! Took the 3-course menu last week and really enjoyed each dish. Especially the chocolate cake was a dream! We love le Trestrignel. it's our favourite place to eat lunch at the pink granite coast, so we I eat there at least twice a month when the restaurant is open (from about April - October). The daily dishes are special: flavoursome and a little unique, we usually choose them, but the galettes are also delicious. The staff are lovely. The view is beautiful. The sea is divine.
