It's a minor detour off the route, but well worth it. Supper & breakfast were excellent with home produce. So peaceful too. Recommended. Stay here instead of your usual roadside motels and treat yourself! We used this as a stopover on the way to the Loire region in order to cross on a Friday instead of a Saturday (less expensive and quieter). I wish we had booked in for longer! Fantastic hospitality where you are really welcomed by the owners/family. Just a great homely welcoming experience.. The surroundings are lovely, our family room was basic but actually given what we paid, was amazing. The best bit though is the food. Proper French cuisine and you just know it has been cooked with care and skill. A beautiful duck dish accompanied by a delicious bottle of wine for us and beautiful tender chicken breast with fries for the kids. Breakfast was amazing too. Home made jams and yoghurt etc. We will certainly be back and for a few days next time. No need to look further..stay here! We were made to feel so welcome (after coming off the ferry) with the fantastic French hospitality, that we stayed again on our way back! A lovely modern family room in an old farmhouse (i think...lovely old thick walls). Food was outstanding with their home grown apples and chicken dishes in the evening. Lovely breakfast too.
